    Who's Doing Law and Where?

Yes I agree, that's why most people going to UNSW will tell you that it has better commerce and science courses, yet if u speak to a Usyd person you will hear the opposite. No one knows the truth, but it doesn't matter, as long as you are happy with the course you are doing and do well in it.

    Class of '03 target UAI's

My advice is to look at the worst possible mark u can get, that way u won't be disappointed. I was expecting a maximum 99.5 with an expected minimum of 97, and ended up with 98.5, which got me into what I wanted to do.

    Combined Law

Coffs Harbour, been living here for 5 years, used to live in sydney and go to Knox Grammar School.
  4. U

    Combined Law

Most people I know are going to queensland uni and newcastle, I'm the only one going to Usyd and there are two more going to UNSW.

    the most popular textbook

yeah, and you can be the marketer :D ;)

    What uni you off to?

nah I'm not thinking of transferring, if I do it will be after one year.
  7. U

    the most popular textbook

or 75/25 my way :gridnod:
  8. U

    the most popular textbook

Yes I agree, the cambridge textbook is the hardest of them all, that's why you need worked solutions to some of the really hard problems (because only answers are supplied in the back of the book).

    med

I think u can do medicine at sydney university except that you have to be a bachelor of science graduate and have to sit a GAMSAT test.

    2u Chemistry / Physics

Yes I agree that the new chem and phys courses are ridiculous, they have always been mathematically based and now it seems they have become english-ised. As far as I'm concerned they aren't true physics and chem, this is what uni's have been complaining about. The focus has changed from being...

    chem 2002 - with a poll!

Actually when I did physics and chem in 2002 I found that chemistry had more calculations than physics in my trial exams as well as in the HSC.
  12. U

Is this stuff really all not in the syllabus.......

BOS has cut out something like 20% of the 2002 syllabus for physics students of 2003 and onwards.
  13. U

plz help....Which option topic is the best to do?

I agree, I did medical physics and I think it is the simplest option topic. There are heaps of resources available for it, and there is only a limit of questions that examiners can test you on for it. you study things like ultrasound, MRI and CAT scans, positron emission tomography, X-rays...

    Teacher qualifications

yeah I agree, you can only just get by being a teacher, the only good thing about it is the holidays
  15. U

    moving out

Yes I'm a little concerned about campus living but I think you will get used to it. i.e. sharing shower and toilet facilities, eating together etc. I guess the fact that the college (has 230+ people ) that I'm staying at has both guys and girls compensates for it :D
  16. U

    Combined Law

some would, although I'm over UAI's now :D
  17. U

    moving out

Living in college would be so much better than living off-campus, u don't have to cook, worry about paying rent, crappy flatmates, electricity bills, don't have to travel. Maybe living in college is slightly more expensive, but it works out roughly the same.
  18. U

    Brigding courses

Bridging courses must be very intensive, as you are effectively doing a year's work in 2 and a bit weeks.
  19. U

    Combined Law

I agree, people doing combined law will be quoting their UAI's as 0.7, .95 and will cut out the 99.xx

    What uni you off to?

I would have done commerce (lib studies) if I could have combined it with science.
