    question!!!!

yes program variation allows you, as the name suggests to "vary" the units you do or have chosen. That is you can add and/or get rid of one or more units so that if you decide you now want to do one unit in the place of another you already registered for you complete a program variation form and...

    Lectures

yeah if there are two lectures usually the second is offered in case you can't make it to the first, or maybe if you want to go over something again that you may have missed the first time round, you only pick one tut though. If you aren't entirely sure about whether you should attend both...

    book lists

wow you guys...my lists haven't come up yet but you have me worried. Definitely worth joining coop though...and second hand books if you can find ones in good condition are a good idea too. No one thinks textbooks are going to be cheap but the amounts some of you are relating, especially for one...

    book lists

hehe well yes, I never thought uni would see me making money :P (until my degree sees me land a fancy high paying job of course ;)) I might join the membership...since it is lifelong and all hehe.

    book lists

hehe sorry cape... ;) that is rather pricey...typically though my campus doesn't have its list yet...stupid bankstown...I have a feeling mine will be pricey too...I had to pay about the price of your geology textbook second semester last year for my italian textbook and CD...but yes saving is...

    assignment questions

I'm not really sure about putting pictures in assignments. Generally you only include them if they demonstrate something in your assignment such as a diagram or graph etc. Uni lecturers and tutors from my experience aren't all that interested in pictures put there for the sake of it. The only...

    book lists

the co-op website now has 1st semester 2005 text lists for parra and campbelltown campuses. I don't know how complete the lists are but they are there. So go and have a look and see whether any of the books you need are listed there. :)

    B comm students!

It's definitely not a "chick only course" I know many guys who do the course...I'm not sure what the ratio of boys to girls or anything like that is but you'd have the opportunity to meet many different people (boy or girl) who do a variety of courses, comm or otherwise.
  9. Jacks

    part time or full time?

yes full time study generally requires you to study 4 subjects per semester...though this may vary depending on how many credit points a subject is worth...4 subjects is standard though :)

    Marks are out!

4 HDs in a year...we should all be so lucky...good work!

    ive screwed up so badly!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah if some people don't accept their offers into the course then there will be vacancies giving you a chance in the late round. If it will make you feel better you could always go and see the relevant people...you won't be any worse off and the worst thing that can happen is that they don't...

    b. arts (communications) ---> b. communications

ok well in any case if he is at penrith he shouldn't have any problems as all of the BA (comm) units are moving there...well most of them anyways. They are not scrapping BA (Comm) for continuing students at the moment, they just aren't accepting any new students from 2005 onwards. He can still...

    transfer to another uni

yes you can transfer if you get the marks...applying through UAC as I said before as a non school leaver...pretty much all the same stuff really...usually if you transfer you get academic credit when you transfer, although if you switch from nursing to business I don't think there is much credit...

    Marks are out!

Well that's pretty impressive, well done!

    transfer to another uni

that's too bad...I think bankstown is the only campus that offers languages? Oh well there must be something there you can do, but I know what you mean, it's hard to choose between a lot of different things, especially if you're really only doing them because you have to. Transport is a problem...

    transfer to another uni

yeah all the electives get annoying you sort of run out of things to do, that you want to do anyways. I decided to do italian as my elective within my course, and hopefully that will be something that works out ok for me...

    transfer to another uni

exactly and that's my thought too...anyways on the subject of personal statements I give up hehe...I was trying to get into UTS so that's pretty typical if it's one of the only unis that requires it...from what I've heard though it's an across the board thing for those not coming straight from...

    transfer to another uni

umm I'm pretty sure as far as personal statements go you have to submit one with your application if you are trying to get into uni and are anything other than a current yr. 12 school leaver. I don't know if it applies to all unis, I thought it did, or at least to the bulk of them. Though it was...

    transfer to another uni

yeah I understand what you mean, it would be hard to be away from your family for long periods of time...hopefully you'll be able to figure out something then! :) Though just for future reference for others wanting to transfer just apply to be safe...and at least you aren't left kicking...

    free periods

well I must admit I probably wasted more frees than I should of...I didn't go home or anything like that though...I did work when it really counted. You just need to judge when you can afford to be lazy and when you really should use the time...frankly that's all that time but hey...I'd really...
