    Subject Selections for year 11?!

BTW, iSplicer, I'm guessing that you did 3u maths, 3u english, phys, chem, eco for prelim and dropped 3u english and eco to pick up 4u maths? or you did the same thing but finished accelerated economics in 2009?

    ATAR Estimate Please!

Work on your Eco and Adv. English a lot. ATM, I'd say ~ 97.4 - 97.9

    Subject Selections for year 11?!

LOL then go for Economics. It scales relatively well. It's a relevant subject to study even if you don't what to use it for a future career. Biology is by no means needed for Biotechnology and/or Pharmacy since the HSC Biology course is not all human-biology and you'll be doing a lot of plant...

    Subject Selections for year 11?!

LOL mate, if he's not good at them, no point in choosing those subjects. Eco scales better than Phys at times as well, so other than the fact that Eco requires more essay skills which are different to sciences, I don't see why Phys and Eco OR Chem and Eco would be much worse. I'd recommend OP...

    10 units vs 12

LOL why did your friend in uni say not to drop? Prerequisites? If it's for engineering, I suppose it isn't terribly necessary due to the lack of maths, whereas something like Maths Ext. 2 would be more useful. And if you are bad at physics, then what makes you think that physics is the correct...

    10 units vs 12

Um well my school doesn't exactly allow 10 or 11 from the start, so most likely 12 with MX2 and drop EE1, or 13 with the same subjects as now + MX2.

    Chemistry Dot Point Help!!

Yep, unfortunately he only has HSC Chemistry notes.

    10 units vs 12

If you're confident about your 10, then go for 10. But at least wait until towards the end of the year before making a final decision.

    Chemistry Dot Point Help!!

Andrew Harvey doesn't have Preliminary Chemistry Notes.

    Ranking?

well, that almost definitely wouldn't translate to a band 6, but i don't know what "good" is to you. it would probably be a late band 4- an early band 5 i'm guessing.

will improving my marks help my atar?

Haven't you heard the law of marks? Jeez. The amount of work done for a subject is inversely proportional to the HSC mark for that subject. (very srs).
