I wouldn't put my estimate as high as 85 to 90 out of 120. I would say more like mid 70's.
And as ryan said, it's not hard. The mode for 2004 HSC was in the range 90 to 92.

Also, it doesn't matter what school you went to if you want to do medicine. I went to a shithouse school and my mate got into combined Medicine at Melb Uni with a scholarship. (His UAI was 99.2)
I also applied a similar logic, and have several 3 hour straight lectures.
I figure, they are basically just talking so yeah...tutorials are "harder" than lectures arn't they ? Because you are not just listening, you are doing work =p ?
It's actually quite stupid.
I mean, in Victoria, their VTAC (which is like our UAC) offers are posted online on like a Herald news site. Makes it much more easier to search names.

I was thinking if i should take up another unit in sem1 but wasn't sure because i thought it might be safer to just take the recommended plan (so 4 units..they're called units right? acst151, econ110 etc? ) in sem1...because im unaware of the difficulty and...

Is there a kind of overall elite medical school in Australia?
My mate got into the sci/med degree at Melbourne with a scholarship on top of that, and he was boasting to me that this is the best medical school in the country? Is he right?
