    It's been well debated that he was lucky last year. Also when i said math freaks, i didn't mean the people who beat you in your class, i meant people who go and do Olympiads etc.

    Many a time people talk about UAI over 100. Quite stupid. Also, you dont need to read anything for english. I never once read any of the prescribed texts in highschool. You just need to know how to bs, techniques and more bs.

    Apparently some kind of illness 1week before exams. Also, next candidate in line for dux was an all-rounder, even though he got a band6 in phys without sitting for that exam.

    Do you think with only some 1200 professional actuaries in Aus. there is no real need for any more of them? Could this be another factor behind the reason in there relatively small numbers?

    flyin: I didnt do any economics or humanities type subjects in school. Im basically into math and the sciences but ive been thinking about Actuariall studies for the last few weeks. Do you think i have a chance at getting the once off 2.5K with my UAI? Or do heaps of high UAI ppl do this...
