    Half-life Question ?!?!?!?!?

Is this maths? Looks morel ike chem or something :p I don't know this formula, and I'm just assuming here that t is time measured in years, M0 and k are constants, and e is the original mass measured in kg. (Which is not necessarily correct :p) From this, sub M=200/2=100, e=200, and the...

^But then they would've gotten a pretty decent rank for internal assessments and thus a good mark internally which would then count towards 50% of their UAI. fireice, so it looks like you're sure these people are letting their tutors do their assessments? But I personally wouldn't do anything...

Maths induction question, please someone help

Does it have to be proven by induction? :p OK here goes... When n=2, 122=144 >72+52=74 - base case proven; Assuming 12n>7n+5n, 12n+1 =12*12n >12*7n+12*5n Since 12>7 and 12>5, 12*7n>7n+1, 12*5n>5n+1 -->12n+1>7n+1+5n+1 --> Induction complete. Or, you can just prove it directly for...

Your friend's method comes directly from the theorem that the sum of all exterior angles of a regular polygon is always equal to 360 degrees.

Oh no ! Im stuck again.!!

Because, (say the internal point of division is C and the external point of division id D) AC and BC are two intervals in opposite directions whereas AD and BD are in the same direction. See the diagram attached (note: not to scale :p)

Erm...what exactly is needed to be proven? The second part of the sentence seems to be just the description of a subject, not a complete statement

    UNSW Maths Competition

Never heard anything about it at school x.x How does the difficulty compare with AMO and APMO? Or the AIMO (ok maybe not this...considering only two questions are free responses :p) and the Senior Contest? EDIT: There seems to be another maths comp held by UNSW, and it was already done on 11...

    Chemistry Valencies

Not exactly like that, but the two oxygen atoms SHARE two electrons between them ie. two electrons from both oxygen atoms - total of four - orbit around the nuclei of both atoms. It is not a polar bond between the two oxygen atoms.
