y = |z|
x2 = 0
Hence x =0, for y>=0 because of the square root up there, and as nit pointed out its a distance. This was a HSC question i feel.
does anyone know about 3unit scaling....
its long been debated a raw mark of 60% would get u band6 in 4unit
what are the figures like for 3unit.
Discuss.
No the question is not from HSC 1994, its similar to it but they did not require u to actually find the inverse. I was just wondering. They wanted you to find the gradient of the inverse function at x=0.
Where is this so called graph?
Also, it would confirm what i said a while ago...just land about 60% raw and that's a band 6. So it's not so hard to do quite flawlessly or at least quite well in first 4 questions then pick up the odd 4,5 marks in the remaining questions and u've reached that...
He's right...
But how lame is the finance stuff and all that blah
If anyone could reply more informatively to cj_bridle that would be good, this topic is also of interest to me.
I concur with the previous post. Can you imagine, a mark for "copy or trace this diagram into your writing booklet". Come on, general don't have it so easy in comparison :P
I've done the last 10 years and there was only one kind of question o this type anyway. And i dont see how using discriminant would have helped...all u had to do was show some stuff > other stuff hence other stuff > more stuff and other random...related...things.
Also, would i be fair to say...
Most likely?
If anyone can get 1-6 100%, i will guarantee you at least 94 or even 95.
Just dont make stupdiu mistakes early on...and have a go at q7 and q8. Sure, they usually are very challening but i assure you 9/10 times there are easy marks to pick up there. One year, think it was like...
Should the graphs always be to scale? I draw them up as such but then sometimes even though i have labelled important features certain parts of it don't look correct. Redraw or add a note: Not to scale. Heh. ?
