    yumm... studying snacks....

This is actually really true surprisingly enough. It works for me. Chewing gum works when i'm studying maths (NO idea why, it just does) and chocolate before exams where i have to write essays :)

Ext. 2 English and Ext. History?

I'm planning to do Ext 2 English :) Ext 2 is pretty awesome but you have to be committed to completing all the course requirements or else there's not much point to it. It's pretty much you composing your own work in the area of english you're most interested in be it narrative writing, critical...

    music?

Acoustic is pretty good for when you're studying. Apparently anything classical with a steady beat and no lyrics is great but i haven't tried that :) btw, catherinet MCR is awesome :p

    What school do you dislike?

James Meehan and Ingleburn - they're just so bitchy. Granted, some of them are nice but the majority just piss you off bigtime (and they're racist)

Has Anyone Finished their HSC and RETURNED back to school to do it again?

No, it's just that we think its great she had the guts to go back and repeat rather than living with what she got

Natural talent or just a lot of hard work put in?

Having natural talent is fine but you can't expect much unless you're willing to put in the hard work

Re: Distinction Courses Lol, i don't think there's much chance of that =P

    Organising Work (merged)

Re: Folders or Books? o.O wow...well im too much of a perfectionist i guess - that's why my books always end up pissing me off :p

    Feelings towards year 12

Yeah, as long as your spelling isn't too horrible, it doesn't really matter - you can blame it on exam nerves anyway :p but yeah, kindy will always be my absolute favourite year but even though i am slightly scared of year 12, it is going to be what you make it.

    Organising Work (merged)

Re: Folders or Books? Same, i started off using books but they filled up pretty quick (and got pretty messy :p). So now i organise everything in loose leaf sections according to classes and only keep a book for maths. Plus having a folder helps with the ton of hand outs we keep getting and...

School Marks - how important do you think they are

Damn, that's annoying - but yeah IPT was pure memory work - i can't afford to bludge any more subjects from now on

    2009ers: Year 12 Jerseys

Re: Year 12 Jerseys Lol some kid at my school had that a couple of years ago. I'm feeling pretty uninspired for myself though :p

Distinction Courses: Interest and discussion on the proposed cancellation of courses

Re: Distinction Courses Nice, someone else who wants to do comp lit. I think it depends on your school - they have to offer accelerated courses and you have to get selected for one of those courses by them

Distinction Courses: Interest and discussion on the proposed cancellation of courses

Re: Distinction Courses haha, im one of the few (really really tiny percentage) of people who actually LIKE english so i can see why. I accelerated in IPT (eww) which has absolutely nothing to do with any of the distinction courses - maybe that's why i can't really choose

Distinction Courses: Interest and discussion on the proposed cancellation of courses

Re: Distinction Courses Lol thanks, i THINK it's because its really unpopular but that's just from what i've heard. Good luck to you too =]

    distinction courses

Lol, yeah, maybe it's because comp. lit sounds so english based whereas cosmology is so much more science/maths related :p philosophy is just the midpoint i guess. Being in a smaller group does sound better in some ways but still, i think i'll wait till the open day to decide

    2009ers: Year 12 Jerseys

Re: Year 12 Jerseys It's so weird how some of your schools don't let you have nicknames o.O haven't decided on mine yet :p btw, 13yrswasted = classic :)
