    alexander the great?

what's everyones opinions, was Alexander really so great? he had the whole empire thing going, and in terms of the military he knew what he was doing, but he also made some really poor administrative choices and his dream of a combined Macedonain/Persian culture was a bit too unrealistic

    Stolen Generation

i agree with YEAR12, but there are also a lot of non-fiction texts that can be used as case studies, don't limit yourself purely to the textbooks

    "been there done that"

i reckon that's pretty good advice, i know so many people now that are gettin so stressed out and it doesn't help them one bit. i try and study each subject each night, but it's important to find a good balance between study and other stuff, or else you get too worn out too quickly

    trials results

i did pretty well but it was good that the stuff i got wrong i knew i could improve on, it wasn't like i just didn't know the stuff anyway, the trials aren't meant to go perfectly, that's what they're their for, to see where you can do better in the HSC

    post-postmodernism

that's true, but doesn't that defeat the purpose of postmodernism? it's supposed to be new and challenge convention, yet if it has become social convention, does that mean it has to challenge itself (thus post-postmodernism) or is the whole concept contradictory?

    the limitations of ants

you see d1ngo, the gods are restless and have cast a reign of post stuff ups upon the ants... ...at any rate, although reality is a construct, how can ants possibly say it is purely their own, for ants are part of a network designed to promote structure and unity. This is the only way in...
  9. narrator

    the limitations of ants

Therefore, the reality you have created for yourself MUST follow thre same lines... for reality can ONLY be defined y one's own experiences and feelings... therefore, your argument of my reality not existing due to my "lack of power" is fallible, for if i have created a reality for myself to...

    is 'intentionality' a word?

is it an american term? i always thought that the word was intent
  11. narrator

    the limitations of ants

i find it difficult to comprehend exactly how someone with so little power can be corrupted so absolutely... ...power is not a tool of the weak... ...you lack power... ...your reality is not real, once again, the ant deludes themself into believing that power in a manifestation of desire...
  12. narrator

    the limitations of ants

babydoll, normally i'd agree, but this is an intellectual discussion, even though basically d1ngo and i are just insulting each other i'm sure the mods will see the benefits of such discussion ...they are the gods of the gods...
  13. narrator

    the limitations of ants

impressive terminology, there may be hope for you yet, however you still have the problems of reality, rationanity, innevitability and the greatest power of them all, myself, to overcome before you can ascend to an understanding above that of an ant... ...the futility of ants is a mechanism...

[ The token thread of increasing SPAM since the course ended ]

the power of the ant to ever sustain hope, it is truly the greatest of feats... ...however, they also delude themselves into false realities whereby they believe they are gods, thus, a superiority complex, thankyou for proving my point... ...most ants are blissfully unaware of the higher...

    is 'intentionality' a word?

this one requires a simple yes or no answer, but write more if you want:argue:
  17. narrator

[ The token thread of increasing SPAM since the course ended ]

delusion, the most pitiful of human response, for a superiority complex can only be an aspect of the inferior, thus rationability rules me out of contention. you on the other hand... ants are many...
