    Anyone really dislike extension history?

too right brother! I only discussed Elton and Carr in my response (2005 HSC). Although this wasn't at all a plan before the exam, or even in the exam. As last years question demanded focus on the provided source more than most years, I guess I decided that it would be best not to spend too...

I have a job now, and I'm really glad I made the decision to defer.

    Tutor: Sydney. 2 state rankings. UAI-98.60. Eng Adv & ext 1+2, M-Hist, Hist-Ext, SOR1

thread updated. new editions of original post: I have decided that I have to specialize in regards to the subjects I tutor for. So English ext 1, SOR 1, and English Adv are not really subjects I'm willing to tutor for at the moment. I've made this decision with the idea that now and later on...

    Anyone really dislike extension history?

oh, and goodluck in the histext half-yearly paper everyone. Don't get too cut if you don't do well in this one, just stick with the subject... if you're enjoying it.

    Anyone really dislike extension history?

yeah, analysis of sources for the "What is History" question in the exam, choosing sources before the exam and analyzing them, help with the IP of course... if you want more information, you can check my thread, it's linked in my sig.

    Anyone really dislike extension history?

oh, and I really enjoyed the subject. I found it to be very interesting... well maybe not the way the subject itself is structured, but the subject matter. Especially "What is History?". Case-study was a little, hmmm, I don't know... Dry. JFK by the way.

    Anyone really dislike extension history?

Way too many people dropped hist ext in my class last year. Most just get overwhelmed by the readings and feel that "What is History" has too much scope to be able to synthesise into a 1 hour essay. Contrary to what some people in this thread have said, I don't think it's that easy to achieve a...

    Reading multiple books simultaneously

yeah, the main thing that gets to me about it is that it takes ages to finish each book. Although I like it because if you're getting a little tired of one you can just switch to the other. I think the ideal situation is to be reading 1 fiction and 2 non-fiction. Whenever I start reading...

    Tommorrow when the War Began

definitely asian. And yeah, probably Indonesian, because Indonesia is close. That was one element of the book I didn't like. He should have specified the nationality of the invaders!

    2005 - BOS Scriptwriters Showcase

gorgo did the HSC last year. You can read his major work by going to the "Showcase" thread in the main ext 2 forum, it is located there. If you want extra help for your play, maybe you should consider getting some tutoring... from me! haha, if you're interested you can click some of the links...

    Wanted: Geo Tudor

yeah, sorry, I'd tutor you but I didn't do geography. try www.tutorcentral.com.au and maybe www.tutorfinder.com.au although I don't think they have a proper category for geography tutors. If you ever want english tutoring, I'll be living in the inner west area!

    uai help

yeah, that's what I thought. It's a small school, which doesn't automatically make it crap. What is your school's name? Your ranks are looking good though! It is always a bit unpredictable when dealing with small schools though.

    I.P. Journals

Don't be afraid to use "filler" material. It'll be way too much effort to make every entry a reflection, or anything like this requiring thinking on your part. Photocopy large extracts from plays that "you've drawn inspiration from" or pictures that interest you, or programs from plays you go...

    Wanted: Geo Tudor

I don't mean this in an offensive way, but may I also suggest an english tutor? Like me.

    Tommorrow when the War Began

I read the first few books in the series. Great books. They really drew me in to the world and situations of the characters. I swear I'd enjoy it now as much as I did then, despite it being a young teenagers novel!
