Another shot at WorkChoices in HSC Economics exam

Mate, chill! He has your opinion and you have yours. Yes it's probable that approximately 25% of Australians are on Collective Agreements, but that is because they were introduced in 1991 as Stage 2 (Accord VI) of The Accords. AWA's were introduced in 2005, which was 2 years ago. Given the...

Who is going to vote liberal?

I'm voting Liberal. If they have to borrow 'too much' they shouldn't be buying a home in the first place! You can't say people who over commit aren't asking for bankruptcy and to default on their mortgages? This is not the Government's problem. The problem is, first home buyers are going...

Another shot at WorkChoices in HSC Economics exam

No I think they should be included. It's in the syllabus after all, we learn about, do assessments on it .. but I can see how people can find it hard to be unbiased, that's all. There could also be an opposing arguement to both: Work Practices- could be pro-Labor propaganda, but you could...

    Hospitality

Umm yeah I'm gonna sound like a bitch here but that's really your fault, not the BoS. Develop and Update was a compulsory topic, it's in the syllabus, it's in every single hospitality textbook printed for the course. You would've done a Develop and Update assessment for your competencies...

    Accounting Cadetships...

I got a Cadetship with KPMG, but that's one of the Big 4 so it's not exactly what you want! I was going to apply for the one at the Audit Office, but I found out I got the one at KPMG the day applications closed .. so I didn't bother! My friend has an interview for a local firm, interview on...

Another shot at WorkChoices in HSC Economics exam

I know it's not hard. I wrote a completely unbiased essay. But when you have strong opinions about something, such as politics .. it can be hard. I can see why it could be hard to.

    What scales to Band 6?

well if williamc is right in saying only 15% of the state get band 6 .. I'm guessing mid to low 80's too .. considering it's the kind of subject where people either go really well or do not so well .. there isn't that many in the middle.

Another shot at WorkChoices in HSC Economics exam

Haha! If I were in any other exam except for Economics .. I would've been ridiculously biased! But if I did it in Eco, with my luck I'd get a Greenie and a Labor voter marking my essay and they'd be like 'Pft giver her 0 .. I don't agree with any of this'. I was sitting next to a guy in my...

Another shot at WorkChoices in HSC Economics exam

agreed. That's what, four-ish subjects they've had it in now? Sure WorkChoices is a big thing .. but it shouldn't be tested when people can lose marks if they show any opinion either way! That is .. Except for Eco .. because you're told from day 1 to remain unbiased and give both sides of...

    Small cars

Hey! I just noticed this thread .. I have a small car! I have a 2006 Yaris hatch, 3 door. In answer to your questions.. - It's very fuel efficient. I get upwards of 600km from a 42l tank, driving to Canberra I got highway economy of 4.2L/100km and I usually get around 5.8-6.4L/100km .. That...

AHHH UNIVERSITIES ARE STALKING ME!!! /caps

I got a letter from ANU today! Just going on about how they're such a good uni and they hope to be seeing me there next year.. Plus they chucked in a door sign thingo.. One side said 'Do Not Disturb - Serious Study Happening' and the other said 'Please Disturb - In Need of a Study Break'...

Best+Worst of Teacher Quotes and Habits

Ideally no. Do economics and you will realise ethics doesn't creep into the equation, hence in the context of what we were doing it was hilariously funny.

    General Thoughts - General Mathematics

That question was soo.. random! That's the one they mark for the lulz late at night, just to keep their sanity! There'd definitely be some classics, especially from the kids who couldn't think of something!

    General Thoughts - General Mathematics

I thought the paper was really good. It played well on my capabilities and I'll hopefully be looking at around an 85+ raw. I was glad there was only one annuities and one spherical geometry question because I'd skipped them intentionally in my study because I hate them, and luckily the questions...

    Skinny jeans

+1 I hate going in there or even just walking past it.. I always get glared up and down because I wear my clothes the right size rather than 10 sizes too small.. I lol at the number of guys that sit out the front waiting for like 30 mins while their girlfriends try stuff on.. But it is fun...

New Holden VE Ute tv add...

I must admit, it's good. However, it seems like a blatant ripoff of the BMW ad they had at the start of the year .. the one where it 'transformed' the cars from the 1960's models to the new 2007 model with 'I Like The Way' by Bodyrockers playing in the background. I quite like the Toyota...

    Hospitality

Well, it was on food preparation and presentation prior to and during service influencing customer expectations.. Food Preparation- I can't remember what I said exactly, but I do know I talked about: - Mise On Plus- preparing food properly because 'poor prep can't be covered up with...

    Hospitality

I thought the exam was great! I got the short answers and multiple choice finished in 30 minutes, they were very straightforward! I did quesion 22 first, because that was easy and straight forward.. but 21 wasn't that great really, it was very open when I'd been hoping for something more...

In The Skin of a Lion

Yeah, I talked about the relationship between Patrick and Alice, compared it briefly to Patrick and Clara and then emphasised how his relationship with Alice built on his relationship with the workers and migrants and how as activists they gave them the voice that the authority figures excluded...

In The Skin of a Lion

Yes. I didn't think it was that great for ITSOL. It wasn't what I was expecting and I had probably focussed least on this aspect. No one in my class felt 'that' confident about this one, but then again the Module B questions are usually geared more towards King Lear than ITSOL.
