    Was it just me...

Yeah, I had just got out of a funeral and was contemplating not even doing the exam, so I needed to write those comments for myself. And oh well, they're true "just like driving with your significant other providing directions so you don't take your eyes off the road, minus the nagging about...

    Was it just me...

Best questions in the whole paper, hands down. Pretty much static vs dynamic. My response became an ad for it, pretty much, plus a few lame jokes -- had to keep my morale up. But yeah, I guess syllabus isn't the be-all-and-end-all if you base it off the paper...

How hard did you find it?

Easiest exam I've done (and will do). If only there weren't any diagrams and had transmission mediums instead, it would have been great.

So how'd you find it and how many pages did you write?

Was surprisingly easier than I was expecting, managed to do all right, even if I don't get the misadventure I think my school's doing (whole grade thing for death of a teacher, his funeral was today before the exam) I should be fine. I even mananged to make my answers light-hearted and joking...

    Was it just me...

That was way easier than anything in the syllabus. I mean it's common sense... no logo, bad grammar/spelling, conflicting names/URLS, too much emphasis on "sign in now!" Sometimes the stimulus was too confusing, I mean, the vet question was partly just comprehension.

    Is IPT your last exam?

IPT is my second last exam, followed by Chem the next morning. Before that I have Eco on Tue, RE Thurs morning. IPT's gonna be the only subject I think I'll study for -- I need to do awesome in it, and it's the best chance I have at getting a high mark. I hope the MC is actually decent for once.

How are you feeling RIGHT NOW?

Feel like shit. Fave teacher just died = no motivation for study for my 4 exams this week. Don't even care anymore.

    Module C: Representation and Text

I think the question for Telling the Truth: Birthday Letters was really good -- pretty straightforward, and about the easiest question I think we could have got, worded a bit strangely though. For the hell of it I included the nature of human experiences and desire to be believed as to what...

    Section 2

Yep. I really couldn't see any other way I could work any of what I was thinking into a story at all, because I knew I'd get sick of it and try to rewrite it about twenty times. My Eng teacher asked what I did for it, and she seemed rather pleased with what I did, and she's a senior marker...

    Section 2

Luckily I remembered something I heard about not being able to get full marks without a title, (don't know where I heard that, so it could possibly be false). My title was so fantastically original for a memorial poem: "In Memory of a Man"

How many pages did you write altogether?

How the bloody hell do you write that much? Hm, I wrote Section I: 3 or 4 Section II: 3 (I did a poem, so couldn't be too long... my excuse at least) Section III: 8 I guess you could say my writing's small.

    so who cheated?

Geez, just relax -- hasn't your english teacher gone over this? If you're so stressed about it you should have asked them. You just have to understand that there are almost 62,000 exams the marking centre has to go through, and each marker gets a certain bunch, and those are then double marked...

If English was't compulsory....Who would SERIOUSLY pick it????????? lol

Some aspects I think will help, like being able to turn what you do know into what is expected of you or wanted, writing for the hell of it, being able to kinda just waffle on about certain points and learn to argue something given a topic, and having general writing style critiqued. Having...

Section III - For or Against

Bugger, my essay sounds rather crap compared to what you said in just those two paragraphs, spadijer. Like I said in the SecIII forum: I basically said that the challenges that the protagonists are presented with in their texts, and how they overcome them is the most important aspect, more than...

If English was't compulsory....Who would SERIOUSLY pick it????????? lol

I'd definately pick English, Advanced in particular, I even did Extension for a year until I grew sick of the teacher. However, I also want to be a journalist, so it's something I enjoy and can see being somewhat beneficial to me in the future. Agreed, but I think that there is a major need...

    Section 2

Hm... I wish that my teacher could have mentioned that any stimuli are to be integral to the story, all we were told to do is incorporate it somehow. I think the most I've actually included stimulus into a story was in the trial, where the person directly said it, then laughed at the irony in...

    Section 2

Admittedly, I do to, but rarely in AoS, and only in Section 1 of this Paper.

    Section 1

Well, it did look like a shoe next to that photographer in the last pic..... Hm, for the landscapes question I juxtaposed the author's "not what I expected" idea of a cave to Sheridan's (that's a bloke's name, by the way?) and how journeys often surprise us and cause us to rethink old ideas...

    Section 3

I basically said that the challenges that the protagonists are presented with in their texts, and how they overcome them is the most important aspect, more than the 'outcome' of their self-reflection and the end of the text, as shown by the lack of distinct resolution in 'My Place' and 'Journey...
