    <$10 an hour = slave labour ...

most places not requiring much professional skills hire really young people cuz it's cheaper to pay young people. i guess it's good in a sense cuz people like us can get jobs more easily and gain experience, but then what happens when you get too old to get hired and you have no degree/s, past...

    likeable features in a job

uh huh, closing at general times is good cuz you dont want to be working late into the evening when majority of people are in their home sweet homes. the actual job - like what you do; if it's cleaning, databases, sales, cooking, etc. where you work - in a shopping centre, in a small shop...

    Not attracted to your race

i guess it's people with different tastes. they might just say that, or maybe they haven't found anyone from the same race just yet. there's still heaps of time and taste is always subjected to change. i mean, i used to say that i would never date someone from another race, or even think...

    strictness, relationships

i know for a fact that asian parents (mine and many of my friends) are really strict on relationships in Aus. they tell their kids not to have boyfriends/girlfriends until they've finished studying - and this isn't just the HSC, this is like finishing uni, getting a job and working for a little...

    Chemistry Preliminary Paper (Independant)

i think water has hydrogen bonds (a stronger type of polar bonds). boiling point of water is 100 degrees celcius and i think it's higher than ammonia and hydrogen sulfide? ooh, i can't remember. don't know about solubility of water though... :(

    Chemistry Preliminary Paper (Independant)

    a) i think MP and BP decreases as you go across the period; ionisation energy increases as you go across cuz the electrons are closer to the nucleus, thus harder to rip off; and the atomic radius decreases cuz the number of protons increases as you move from left to right, so it pulls the...

    Chemistry

Omgosh, i think i failed chem. my exam was just yesterday. i couldn't do the calculations and some of the calculations i had never come across in class! i wish i had studied consistently over the year though. however, it wasn't as hard as i had anticipated and we didn't need to draw any graphs...

    textbooks for yr 12?

well for 3 and 4u maths, use fitzpatrick and cambridge. chemistry -conquering, contexts, surfing series is really good for quick revision! i find it much better than excel.

    ??One Big Folder??

why don't u carry books instead? everything is in the book rather than on separate sheets of paper and you don't need to organise your notes; it's all in order in the book! hehe it's also less confusing. but then again, i guess it makes your bag heavy which explains why my back is like, sooo bad!!

What are you looking forward to?

i have 3 more exams - chem, bio and extension maths. what am i looking forward to? the holidays!!! haha sleep! partying! shopping! being giddy! finally relaxing without worrying!! in year 12, i'm looking forward to i guess, my PIP and biology... and the formal (if i go) and MY...

3u Maths -- Drop or Continue...?

that's a lot of study for a prelim student! well done! well, i guess it'd be a good idea to keep 3u maths since you're going pretty strong in it. if you're planning to drop to 10 units then drop the subject you're performing the weakest.

    My Prelim Timetable..... your opinion

oh that sucks! 8 exams crammed up in a period of 4 days!! our school puts them over a period of 2 weeks, but most of my exams are on the last week (which is this week coming up!). i have an exam every day and each exam is 2 hours long - except for extenstion 1 english which is an hour. but...
