    Summer clerkships

I heard CV Mail has automatic cutoffs for most of the firms, so the main result is that if you get below a certain average score your application would get filtered out that firm won't even get to see your application - even if you do have a mile long extra ciriculars and references from all 7...

    UWS as a uni?

Out of a few dozen lecturers/tutors, I only had 3 really crappy lecturers/tutors. Lara would agree with me for Admin Law :) Heya Ari, you didn't have Mamta did you? She was really boring and so hard to understand.

Doesn't UTS and ANU have their 1 year prac legal training included? Really means the 5 year combined degree is really 6 years if you want to prac as a solicitor.

To be or not to be?!!! Law at UWS

UWS has a very intense law degree, if you're semester is filled with law units you'd get anyhwere between 12-16 assessments per semester :O. Just grab the awesome marks and get the references from the lecturers/professors and you should be right.

Qualities needed to be a lawyer?

Attention to detail, and a very very very very very long attention span. Most of your studies would be comprised of reading legal cases and legislation. It takes quite a while to understand some cases, I remember reading the same paragraph 10 times in the first year because it was so damn...

What are the electives available for bachelor of economics 1st year?

The electives are pretty horrible if you just want to focus on economics. When I did it, there were only 4 'pure economic economic' electives to choose from - applied econometrics, political economy, international trade theory & policy, & labour economics. The College of Business may let you...

    Transferring into law at Sydney

If you guys don't get in through a transfer, try getting in as a graduate when you finish your degree or the non-law component of your combined degree. It takes about 90 UAI and a GPA of 5.8+ (high credit) average.

    Law in University

History Extension would definitley help. You'd get a whole heap of really tough reading at Law School which is on par to the difficulty to the History Extension readings. Expect sentances with 20 lines, 10 commas and tripple negatives.

    Investment Banking Internships 2008

E-mail actually, stated the day and time for interview and asked me to confirm. I think the details about time and day are different for everyone. I was like "whoa its from HK, I hope they didn't take me as applying for the internship at HK"... I doubled checked, they definitly had me down for...
