    i hate mathssssssssss

must people do maths by memorising formulas. this is ineffective in so many ways. instead you should learn to derive the formula by using an logical thinking and analysis. normally, you learn a topic which relates to the previous topic, the formulas which you've learn from them play a role in...

The "Ask your hard questions" thread (Non-HSC)

This is hsc, but i could never do these further questions in mechanics. A small ring C can move freely on a light inextensible string. The two ends of the string are attached to points A and B, where A is vertically above B and at a distance c from it. When the ring C is describing a...

    Scales on the Axes

i don't even use scales, i just draw it and label the important points. as long as your graph doesn't look ridiculus it shouldn't matter. why waste time labelling the non important features? it's not like i'm going to get my exam back and be framing it on the wall or anything.

    Quick graphs question

hmm, i find it weird, coz they don't give you a defined x, like if you square 5 or -5 both answers are 25 but if you square root 25, it's only 5. but i'll stick with what kfunk said and put it as zero. i guess you can assume that those points are at ±infinity and 1/infinity = zero?

i think it's undefined (open circle), since there is no x value on the asymptote, so how can you have 1/(nothing)??
