    another complex number question

    use quadratic 2(i+1)±sq rt (-32i) ----------------------- 2i note* sq rt -32i x²-y²=0 2xy=-32 y=-16/x x²-256/x²=0 x^4-256=0 (x²-16)(x²+16)=0 (x-4)(x+4)=0 when x = 4, y = -4 and x=-4, y = 4 so 2(i+1)±(4-4i) ---------------- 2i (3-i)/i & (-1+3i)/i rationalise 1+3i &...

ah i see, your simpsons rule question, you said part a is easy so i won't bother, basically, the area you found is the non water part of the rectangle, so the water part is area of rectangle minus area you found in 'a' area of rectangle 120x110 = 13200 area you found in part 'a' = 8350...

    HELP Any mathematicans out there

outlier is the weird one, eg, what people got on their math test on monday, person A got 50%, person B got 45%, person C got 48%, person D got 51% and person E got 99%, person E is therefore the outlier. i don't do general maths but i'm guessing you ignore any outliers? i don't understand...

    Stuck On Algebra!

    can't do ∫6e^[x^(x/2)] dx but can do ∫6e^[x^2] dx ∫6e^x² dx =6∫e^x² dx =6√[π*erfi (x√log e)]/2√[log e] =3√[π*erfi (x√log e)]/√[log e] +c (where 'c' is constant) *note erfi = imaginary error function
  17. 1

    Big reminder to you all...

you don't need to write +c, it can be +a,+b, etc as long as you label "where (letter) is constant"
