    Medical science- Getting very competitive

There'll always be someone better...unless you're a freak :p So just try your best without worrying about what other people get. You get what you deserve and the marks you receive are an indication of the effort you put in. Try harder and you get better marks...theoretically lol. Uni's...

Raincoats arent that heavy are they?? And you can borrow the textbook from the library so you don't have to bring it from home. Just return it when you're done :)

anyone done GENM0804 lifestyle health and disease before?

It's an interesting course. Some of the stuff you learn is pretty practical stuff and very intuitive. Just don't sit too close to the front though because the lecturer doesn't wear much padding in her bra...lotsa pokie action :S Not nice lol. The finals exam was a bit weird though. All easy...

    general UNSW chit-chat

lol they got rid of the tables and chairs in the biomed library so no chatting in there. Besides, no breaks for 3rd year students.

lockers at uni, pref upper campus

Having classes in the same room isn't always good. I'd say about 3/4 of my lectures are in the same freaking tiny class it get's really boring. 6 hours in the same room for 2 days out of the 5 is pretty tiresome too. So a new room in between classes isn't such a bad thing.

Four hour labs and then going overtime is just fun.

The UNSW bus queue at Eddy Ave

My only 9am start is on a Friday so I miss out on the fun of waiting lol. I heard that the line on Eddy Ave. stretches to the traffic lights on other days :S Good thing my days start at 10am, 11am or 1pm :p Still, it's a 24 hour/5 day week with some courses extending their classes for an...

The UNSW bus queue at Eddy Ave

Had a bus driver that floored the bus and ran red lights. Got the few of us (think it was 5 people on) to uni in 10 minutes of so :) Anyways, public transport usually behaves when I'm around lol.

The UNSW bus queue at Eddy Ave

It's cheaper to buy a TravelPass if your City return train ticket costs $4.40, even if you go for only 4 days. Train tickets: $4.40 * 4 = $17.6 Bus tickets: $2.80 (return) * 4 = $11.20 Total for 4 days is $28.80. The most a TravelPass costs is $27.50 (purple). Although the train ticket...

    Plan your timetable!

Not sure at how it works really lol. But I think they just shotgunned the time slot and will do what they see fit in that time. We'll just find out when we get to it :)

    Plan your timetable!

Well unfortunately for those in science, dropping courses or skipping them to get ~12 hours a week isn't possible. And here's a new timetable, which isn't that much better than the last one lol. Oh and that non-permitted clash...that's 2 of the same tuts clashing with each other.
  13. W

    Plan your timetable!

Well breaks are a godsend when you have 24 hours a week given to you by the science faculty - compared to other faculties such as the above :)

    general UNSW chit-chat

I've seen people use the bus :) You wouldn't want a girl walking by herself around Kensington at 11pm. I don't know about the figures though lol. Don't look at me. I wasn't the one that made up the numbers. Ask the MP, Jenny Macklin - Shadow Minister for Education, Training, Science &...

Food for thought: --- Childcare The Postgraduate Board is a primary sponsor of the two student based childcare centres on campus – House at Pooh Corner and The Honeypot. PGB representatives sit on, and are active within, the Boards of Management of each centre. Waiting lists at UNSW...

Well I didn't think BIOS1201 was all that hard. Very little study and managed 84 or something. Would have definitely got a better mark had I studied more lol I don't know but it seems like last year never happened compared to this year. Stupid BIOC2101, although Mike Edwards is cool lol :p
