u'd be in a good position if u actually apply for a transfer to straight commerce thru uac. if u make it to that, u dont have to accept the offer, but use the letter from uac to show to the comm ppl and tell em that u're good enough to be doing comm

it also depends on how many ppl apply for a transfer. i got a friend who missd out on law by 0.05, had a 76 wam and still didnt make it ...

why didnt u do 1612 this sem then?

ur 21 uoc would still be atleast 4 subjects, which doesnt really help. from experience, a 3uoc subject is as much work (if not more) than a 6uoc subject

but isnt it a mod's duty anyway to go thru all posts in those forums they moderate to make sure that theyre ok? i mean, sure thats hard in the nonschool, entertainment sections etc, but the no.of posts in the subject, school and uni sections arent that many ...

oh no, u wouldnt infact, actuarial students are meant to do 1613, but only those doing a finance major as well do 1612. so there really shouldnt be a roblem ..... i think its the same with acct majors. u need 1613 for ur cpa, but no 1612

well, then we GET the mods ... also, maybe ifthey restirct there to be a mod not having to moderate more than 2 forums, it'd make it easier on the mods too

u can do 1613 without having to do 1612 provided ure doing both macroecon and acct 1b (or have done it) while doing 1613.

mojako, yes, actuarial is abt risk management, but it also involves the application of maths to finance, economics, insurance and superannuation redslert, they dont delete ur files / emails. u'll have them the next time u do a comp subject. infact, since ur doing a comp sci degree, it doesnt...

maybe till a better system is come up with, only mods should have the rep facility, ie, mods can rep all members based on posts.

u should do my course ... i got access to the comp labs, the commerce labs, the maths labs, the library comps and the biomed labs (thanx to a friend) :p such hard choices to make while choosing a lab :D

yes it is. the uai cutoff dropped from 95 to 90 over the last 2 yrs. seng is about software project management and the development of large scale software, not just small programs ..... i think there's a thread floating around which explains the diff b/w seng, comp engg n compsci

i did 6 each for the last 2 sems ..... and 5 this time, and boy, i was relieved ...

in 2nd yr, yes. i dont know the stats for first yr students. i know there are only abt 50 doing seng, but no idea on how many of those do comm as well
