yes it is. the uai cutoff dropped from 95 to 90 over the last 2 yrs.
seng is about software project management and the development of large scale software, not just small programs ..... i think there's a thread floating around which explains the diff b/w seng, comp engg n compsci

IMO i think geeks are better off doing seng, since comp sci stuffs can be learnt in your spare time (provided you are geeky) .. esp if the geek in question has always been good at geeky stuff and never had any experience on large scale developments (does open source count?)

then again, my opinion was only about geeks who fit my image of geeks :p

then you might want to consider seng, then combine with commerce (see the more commercial side of things, good to see things from diff perspective?).

looks like I caught your soul. make sure you answer things properly or you'll rot in hell :p.

Can you give me some proofs that my soul has been taken? The thing is that I still feel that I have a full access to my soul :p

umm.. i dont think i get the fussion bit...

fusion is like creating energy from basically nothing...if i recall yr12 phys...it was like slamming particles together to create a mass of energy (e=mc^2)..

and well the whole rationale behind solar/photovoltaics is to find an enviro efficient solution for generating power...which right now aint very efficient and very costly...
if a stable fusion method arose....there mite be some use for photovoltaics but its main purpose is gone since its like fusion would create fuckloads of energy...alot more than solar cells...of course this hasnt been perfected or even close to....
watch spiderman 2....that orange globe was meant to represent a "fusion" experiment...although thru lotsa CGI..

well.. Im gonna have to check the logs whether your doppleganger's trapped :p.

anyways looks like I failed to foster interest in doing computing @ unsw ;). It's worth it, esp. if you get to higher comp 1A...

One of the subjects, higher computing 1A, is a course about everything you'll ever think of. Provided richard will still tutor there :p. Also, i guess it depends with people, but you said you're a comp geek..

btw, computing @ unsw gives you access to university labs (commerce labs sux0rs, library net sux0rs x2 for the queues), uses linux (windows XP @ comm lab = buggy), and gives you access to... QUAKE :p

</evades chops from second/third year CSE students who wants people to get off quake>

haha, is winxp really buggy??
i still love my windows... :p
and its better if u consider how many hardwares support that...
just say printers, etc...
btw does linux have a lot of kinda generic printer drivers that work on common printers (whose manufacturer doesn't make the official linux driver)?

quake? i only know quake the game and i never play that
edit: i read the thing inside the tag lol

yep i'm going to miss quake greatly this coming session :(

since i'm not doing any comp subjects, are they going to delete my account and delete all my files and emails? or are they just going to freeze the account so that when i pick a computer course again i will have everything there?

oooh i'm going to miss my print quota aswell :(

mojako, yes, actuarial is abt risk management, but it also involves the application of maths to finance, economics, insurance and superannuation

redslert, they dont delete ur files / emails. u'll have them the next time u do a comp subject. infact, since ur doing a comp sci degree, it doesnt matter if u dont do a comp subject, u still have access to ur acct, and very little print quota
