aaah i see, yeh a lot of people didn't realise you actually chose subjects and made a timetable. I was in at 12 and as soon as i got my papers i headed straight to advisors where the hall was empty but yeh if they hadn't made a timetable prior, woulda taken them aaaages

No-where does it say you're not allowed to. You should have some optional units in your degree program, so just do MAS104 in first semester and go from there.

Nah all you need to do is see an academic advisor based on your degree. They make sure you know what the core units are and that you need to have over 17cp to be classified as a full time student. It's just the one signature you need

That seems like a bit of a waste giving it back to the uni. I mean what are they gonna do with it? Trash it? They should at least let you keep it as a reminder of the time you were enroled at their uni. Hey, it's good advertising!

jlh are you sure you're not meant to accept the uni offer? I mean if you wanted to get into that particular course next year, and don't hand in an offer, wouldn't the uni assume you're not interested / have taken another course?

Generally, they suggest 4 units per semester (12 credit points). This is so that you can evenly spread the workload over your time at uni. I don't have the handbook on me at the moment so I'm not entirely sure on the amount of credit points ya have to do / the length of the course, but I think...

anyone know if the second side of that Proposed timetable sheet is used for anything? I was a genius and went and filled it out in pen, and I've know decided to change one of my subjects, hence change my timetable. Would it matter if I left it and went and filled out the other side?
