On the topic of University Transfers...

Well, for things like Law degree at USYD, it is known that NRSL ranking is around 96.xx, which is significantly lower than UAI required to gain entry straight out of year 12. For things like medical science (second year entry), pharmacy or commerce (liberal studies), the situation is less...

    unsw or usyd?

I can't speak for environmental science specifically, having studied chemistry and biology at USYD-for a year-but believe that USYD have an edge over UNSW if you compare the science faculties of USYD and UNSW. If your UAI is that close to USYD cut-off from last year, and you'd rather go to USYD...

    Pharmacy Q

After comparing the syllabus of Sydney and CSU Pharmacy courses, I believe that you will be able to obtain credit for some-but not all-of subjects if you transfer to USYD after a year at CSU. By the sound of it you will have to repeat the first year again though.

    Pharmacy

So looks like early round offer is out. Are there early offers only for CSU Pharmacy, or does USYD Pharmacy give out any early offers as well?

    Pharmacy - Orange or Wagga?

What sort of grade are we talking about if we want transfer, Distinction average? I thought that CSU does the assessment without scaling and for D or HD, you virtually have to ace everything in a subject.

2007 Federal Election - Coalition or Labor/Howard or Rudd?

If there's a tied vote in an electorate after a recount, I think there are a number of ways to settle the issue without resorting to the new election. They can declare the one with the higher primary votes the winner, or they can declare for the older candidate. I know that a second case has...

has anyone received interview letters yet?

No, I did not. Though I can see why you are thinking that I may have dobbed you in if you received a warning letter from one of the firms.

has anyone received interview letters yet?

I didn't know that you referred to the copyrighted UMAT preparation materials from those companies. I would not need them, thanks. Though I must say, you must be very adept at manipulating with HTML or Java sources, I thought that those materials on web couldn't be copied or scanned.

has anyone received interview letters yet?

Bacilli, could you send me some of the medicine-interview related documents as well if and when you can? My email address for your interest is olympiclegend@yahoo Dot com Thank you very much.

    Can I still attend university?

Well, for one thing, I-or anyone else-would need every subjects and grades per each semester to help you to calculate the NRSL ranking (usually there's 4 subjects for each semester). From what I see though, I do think best chance is to apply for mature-entry scheme, though you would have to...

    I need help..

Hmm, maybe Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Art?

    STAT Preparation

You can order sample STAT test 1 and 2 booklet from ACER if you want to prepare for it, though STAT is not really hard exam. If you are capable of obtaining decent marks in English and Maths, no need to stress over it too much :)

Actual Marks instead of P C D HD

I wish they do tell us the actual mark as well, but as far as I know there is no easy path to obtaining official marks other than the grade in the transcript. I suppose you can approach the lecturers individually and ask them for signed letters detailing achievements in each subjects, though I...

HELP needed on Advanced Science and Cardiology

I don't know about the need to have PhD to specialise in cardiology, though I suppose relevant PhD won't do you any harm. About the possibility of doing art within B.Sc (Advanced) degree, yes you can do up to one-third of your degree (48cp or 8 subjects in three years) outside subjects...

    Semester 2 Chatter Thread (2007)

Re: Semester II Chatter Thread! May I ask why you would need to enrol into Chemistry 1B in summer school even before the end-of-semester exam? Or did you start Science in the middle of year? Ignore the Q if it sounds stupid or rude :) And no, it's not just international students that do...

    Medical Science students!

They have bridging courses for both biology and chemistry for those people who do not have done HSC biology or chemistry. While they are compulsory I suggest you do take it. While I can't speak for chemistry bridging course, biology bridging course was very informative and worthwhile.

How many pages should I write?

I remember writing at least 25 pages for Section II and Section III combined in my HSC as well as writing to the last lines and beyond for questions in Section I.

    Be a Pharmacist!

I think around 95 for USYD and 90-91 for CSU (Wagga's slightly higher than Orange). CSU doesn't require you to have done STAT, not that it's hard to get required grade. And I agree with you that Pharmacy is not such a high-paying job. You can land a job paying between $55,000 to $65,000...

HELP! I need to advice about transferring/degree choice

Except it is not easy or common to have someone own 5 pharmacies and generate sizeable profit from each business.

    NRSL entry into Pharmacy

So you need to achieve NRSL rank of 96 as a minimum in Pharmacy? That's quite high, even comparable with NRSL rank required for courses such as Law or Commerce (Liberal) that have significantly higher entry standard than Pharmacy if one uses UAI in application.
