I go for a phone that makes phone calls and plays messages.

For your needs I would suggest the macbook - you don't need the extra whizbang the macbook pros have.

Welcome to technology, things are always upgraded not too long after you buy them. If you waited for that upgrade and bought it, it's upgraded again a few months later.

I'd also recommend this if you've never used audio mixing software before.
It's definitely not the best quality mixing, but for all intents and purposes it should be fine for you (and the main selling point is the ease of use etc)

I get the high pitched noise too, but the only time I *ever* notice it, is if it's 1-2 in the morning and the laptop is on but i'm not using it. If I'm using it I never notice the noise (or there are too many things going on in the background to...
