Modern essays are not very hard. Think of it this way - you are telling a good historical story with facts and information. Essays can be padded out with the most mundane and trivial facts to relevant and essential information. They are not looking for a poetic masterpiece - just a narrative...

I dare say.. Hurlstone is a much more prestigious school. I'm sure it beat Sefton and Mac Fields last year - don't quote me on that.

At the moment, no because you go to an "average public school". Unless you launch some major assault in your HSC exams and get all band 6s in all your subjects. Study hard dude :D

I think Excel is absolutely crap as well but it can be useful in giving you some sense of direction - because it is so simplified - just so long as you can corroborate with other textbooks and expand on it's points. The English one is absymal and the Chemistry one is not recommended. But don't...

Oh.. the depression. Well I studied my ass off for chemistry and maths (and everything else really) - but I still only managed to pull out a 62% in chem (depression voids :(). OTOH, my maths trials rank was an improvement from my other assessments which was hovering between 50-64 all year...

Can aligning change raw marks drastically? e.g more than a 3/4 mark margin?

So if I were to receive an 88 for my Maths HSC exam (raw mark), that would be aligned to a 91? And what I would see on my HSC report (for the external exam alone) would be the 91 instead of the 88, which remains unknown? :o
