I know someone who is doing eng/science at uts - mechanical/nano. timetabling can be an issue doing subjects from 2 faculties and also fitting in with the prerequisites for some subjects but so far they have managed it ok.

Hasn't anyone heard of this subject??

hey skeeta - my brother is at uts and when he missed an exam because he was sick the paper work had to be filled in and signed by a doctor - hope this helps or check it out carefully as wouldn't be nice to fail cause forms NOT done properly!

Hey, has anyone done this subject before??? What's it like and more importantly DO THE LABS TAKE THE FULL 3 HOURS - I have a slight clash with another subject and would love the labs to finish in like 2 or 2 1/2 hours.

How come 1st year students get GIVEN their timetables and have to wait till end of Feb. Why can't we choose the time slots for tuts/prac. I am on a contract at work for hours and have to give them notice as to when I havn't got uni and can work and that means there is only about a week from when...

Well for engineering you don't go to a tut class if it is before the lecture for that subject!

Remember that in 1st week you don't go to tut if it is before the lecture but may have to if tut is after lecture.

I think they look OK but the female one's are a bit short and can see myself getting into trouble for exposing bare skin!!!

engineering is all MATHS based, and the maths is nothing like how they teach u at school. Good luck to the general maths people as even people I know who did ext 1 0r 2 had to work at it!!!!!

Did you all read in today's paper that there has been a big increase in domestic full fee applications this year! This is a real bummer to csp applicants as uni's are very much cashed strapped and will go for the full fee paying applicants.

Where do you park? Is it hard or easy to get a parking spot? Can you get a pass and park in uni grounds? Any info would be greatly appreciated as went for a drive to see where the uni actually was and parking looked like a bitch.

so do you just add the eas 4 uai extra points to the uai you actually got and then have to wait for actual uai for the course this year- then pray you get in? What's everyone's 1st course preference
