i was browsing the net for any aussie importers of EVO engines, and found an adelaide group that could probably get me an EVO V engine w/approx 230kW for $5800. thats not too bad, since i could rent a ute for two days and spend about $500 to get it installed, but that racks up to about $6.5K...

i have 2 12s, totalling 1000W, and when i put the volume to just over half, i dont just get boot rattle heard from INSIDE my car, but a whole body massage. cant even see anything in the rear view mirror anymore :p but i get light dimming on the player and the boot light too, even when it is not...

you sure they're that cheap?!?!? i'd expect the average one to be 8-10 and the slightly modified one to be 15-20K. if a stockie is 6K then i might as well sell my lancer and go the full deal, as opposed to an evo conversion.

i did 185 in my '95 Corolla csi, and that was in 3rd gear and there was still the overdrive, which has a MASSIVE gear ratio, which boggles me sometimes, because unless you supercharge it you can never redline the overdrive or come close on a flat straight. and i only did 185 cos a truckie...

i dont think it matters whether or not they get them before july katie. i'd be inclined to believe that it is universal, and not just for those that get their licenses after july. the 0 BAC limit certainly wasnt for those who got their licenses after the enforcement date.

aww, that sucks. surely they could use the same excuse to reverse all parking fines made to all speed cameras within the first few weeks of their operation?
