    Union Board Elections 2006

Tom Kavanagh sucks, namely because he harasses people with his propaganda while they're trying to eat at Wentworth. Not cool.

    law tutor need!

There is no exam for LAWS1006 and the material is pretty basic, hence the name 'Foundations of Law'. Just do your readings and put effort into the assignments. Having a tutor help you with assignments would be akin to plagiarism I think.

    Case assignment for 06ers

The case assignment, worth 30% of the total assessment mark, was released on WebCT today. Discuss.

    First assignment @#*&$^

I've just written a bunch of shit in eloquent language. In retrospect I took my sweet ass time in getting around to court observation, and it shows. Meh, who cares. Bring on law camp!

    just wondering..

We ranked 74 in 2005, and 174 in 2004. To the original poster, believe me when I say it's more up to individual student ability than the school. While it's true that the majority of the top students attend selective schools which they and/or their parents (sometimes erroneously) think cater...

    Not in law unfortunately :).

    For First Years 06 - Kennedy's Article

I think Kennedy is basically saying that you cannot make a distinction between what legal purists call 'legal reasoning' and 'ethical reasoning' and policy. For example, it's erroneous to think that a decision can be legally sound and at the same time be ethically or politically wrong. I recall...

    Semester 1 Chatter Thread (2006)

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Question: Every time I visit the student centre, there's a ridiculously long line. I have to get some stuff sorted, but my timetable and laziness doesn't really permit me to wait in that thing. Are there any times when the student centre isn't busy?

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Are you talking about the 'Uni Brothers' kebab place? Had lunch there today; was a decent feed for about $10.

    Semester I Timetable (2006)

Yeah, that Monday is the only day that really bugs me...I'll probably enquire about changing it tomorrow, as the customise feature makes me lose the friday off.

    Semester I Timetable (2006)

Actually, I don't particularly mind the gaps. I live close to the uni, so I could actually go home during those gaps, which is fine by me. For a guy with a reputation of being a jackass, you sure do live up to it :).

    Scientia scholarships

Arts/Law. For the Arts component I'm taking on history and philosophy units (I figure a lot of law is philosophical, so the two will intertwine). And, would you believe, USyd gave us our first assignment on the day of our enrolment, involving 4-6 hours (!) of court observation .
