    Top Achievers in Course

There's already a thread on this entitled 'State Rankings'.

    State rankings

I noticed that. Despite his apparent disdain for basically all our major works, I congratulate him.

    UAI without tutors?

I was tutored only for maths, but it didn't count in my UAI calculation. Does that count?

Who got screwed over by Ext2 English?

While I agree with you completely, you're always going to have two sets of subjects - the subjective and the objective. Eliminating subjective subjects like English and, to a lesser extent, history is an obviously unfeasible option. The best we can possibly strive for are markers who can...

    What UAI did you get?

Diagnosis: Tall Poppy Syndrome. Recommended treatment: A self-inflicted punch to the head.

    Congratulations Laure Free

Heh...I can equal it, but not beat it ;). Laz posted up the full list of the 26 who achieved over 90 in 8 subjects in the Distinguished Achievers thread.

    Five Significant Figures

Ooohh...I'm out of hiding now ;). I'll just say one thing - if I can do it, anyone can. Best of luck future HSC students.

    State rankings

Hehe, awesome dude, you beat me in both. I must be hovering around 11 or 12 or so.

    USYD Scholarship Application

Ron McCallum, dean of Sydney Law, just called to inform me that I get an automatic academic scholarship because of my results, so it looks like my application is fairly useless now.

    What UAI did you get?

Uhhh...dude, my profile is a joke. Do you also think I attended no educational institution, as my profile suggests? I didn't study 24/7...in fact, I posted here fairly often throughout the year. And yes, although I did study quite a bit during the HSC period, I kept a fairly balanced routine...

2nd in English Extension 1, 10th in Advanced English, 9th in Modern History, 10th in Studies of Religion There must've been more than 10 people who got 50/50 in English Extension 2 this year...

    First Place in Course 2005

If you don't mind me asking, did he get 50/50? Just curious whether the top mark was 49 or 50.
  14. c_james

What HSC marks did you get?

Yes. A panel ranks the works which achieved 50/50. That's where it gets really subjective.
  15. c_james

What HSC marks did you get?

Roughly 7 people per year get 50/50 in ee2; fleep and I are among them. Some dude from St. Pat's topped EE2 this year.
  16. c_james

What HSC marks did you get?

Whoa, top stuff with EE2 and History Extension fleep.
  17. c_james

What HSC marks did you get?

    Hehe...cya there ;).

    English Extension 1

Did RFTG, got 50/50 - stoked considering my creative was a mess of badly arranged crap on critical theorists. I felt rather confident about the essay though.
  19. c_james

Who got the highest in SOR on bored?

49/50 for exam and 49/50 for assessment. I hear it's nigh on impossible to get 50/50 for this subject, so congrats to whoever did.

    Ext 2 English!!!

50/50. Top stuff everyone. And I must say, I'm surprised hardly any 05 bosers were shortlisted.
