They've been known to throw in such tidbits to throw people off. The fact of the matter is, he was not denied his appeal APPLICATION - rather, it was thrown out of court.

    how much did you write

lol ok...did you specifically create an account to say that? Congratulations. And what I wrote, actually, was not bullshit. I cited legislation, cases, media reports and other relevant documents to support my argument. Many can finish the multiple choice section, short answers and crime...

He taught a student who topped the state in Legal. I have faith in him :).

    how much did you write

I'm personally a believer in quality in quantity. The more good, solid stuff you can use to hammer your argument, the closer your essay comes to 25/25. Most exemplars I've seen are more than a booklet.

    Multiple Choice Answers

According to my teacher, the answer to 14 was (B) Economic. Chris' legal rights were NOT denied simply because his appeal was thrown out of court - appeals are thrown out of court everyday, but the fact that people are allowed to approach appellate courts ensures their legal rights are...

    how much did you write

11 for crime. 15 for family. 14 for shelter. So...40 pages all up. Didn't stop to think for a second.

    kiss n make up

If you want a little more detail, you can mention that it's detailed in s.50 of the Family Law Act.

Module B: Critical Study of Texts (Merged)

Don't sweat it. If you put forward a thesis with examples and evidence that constitutes an argument.

English is my FAVOURITE subject in the whole entire world!

I must be some sort of anomaly then, because I like and am good at both.

English is my FAVOURITE subject in the whole entire world!

Actually, in all honesty, English is (was) one of my favourite subjects. Less so than Extension 1, but it wasn't bad nonetheless. Depends on your texts, I suppose.

Module B: Critical Study of Texts (Merged)

No, it did not have to be in first-person. I wrote a third-person essay imbued with more personal opinion than usual. EDIT: Just re-read the question. It asks for a "critical evaluation" - I would interpret this as an essay, but they should have been clearer.

    Law and Society Extended Responses

Just laws were examined last year. I can almost guarantee you it will not turn up on tomorrow's exam.
  14. c_james

How many pages did you write?

3475438564354. Each. Hence, I top the state. No, seriously, 29 all up (10/10/9).

    question about feature article form

    Be a rebel.
  16. c_james

Anybody worried about english paper 2?

Exactly. What's so difficult about answering the question? Use the key terms in your answer and develop your own ideas on the spot. It's rather easy. With maths, conversely, you can know all your formulas and whatnot, but still not see the pattern of logic in the question. English can be...

    screwed

Never underestimate the power of learning five or six quotes, techniques and themes/motifs for each text. Never. That's pretty much what I did for my trial, and i got 98/105. If you can bullshit, backed up by some solid textual reference, you'll be fine.

    question about feature article form

My teacher, who's a bit of a frootloop, says we should fold the booklet in two if it's a feature article. I refuse to do so on the grounds of a such an idea's stupidity. I strongly suggest you do not write in columns - I can just imagine the markers having a hearty laugh at all the "fools who...

Anybody worried about english paper 2?

I really don't see how they can form a 'difficult' Modules exam. Every year it simply requires you to apply the knowledge you've learnt all year to a particular question. As long as you know your texts and can articulate your ideas around the wording of the question there shouldn't be a problem...

    Question 1

Seems like semantics to me. I also listed second-person as a technique, and I think it's fine. There really weren't enough "language techniques" to pick out from that crap anyway.
