CONFESS! how many pages did u write?

Section I - 8 pages Section II - 8 pages Section III - 13 pages For a grand total of 29. Any more than one booklet on section I is seriously overkill - my 8 pages were wayyy too much in retrospect.

    Twas on the news... (Merged)

Why has 2005 been such a controversial year? First the leaking of the CSSA trial, now this... That's what happens when the supervisors are all geriatric.

    Integration

^^^Exactly. You develop a thesis and use each text to support it. THAT's integration, not comparing obscure symbols and specific ideas in one text to another.

    Integration

Agreed - I did not integrate my texts for my trial AOS essay and achieved 15/15. I think the meaning of 'integrated' you're working off is a bit flawed, actually. I've read an exemplar Module A essay - in which integration, I believe, is imperative - which dealt with the texts one after the...

    Germany 1918-45 totalitarianism essay

Wrote an essay, which is attached, on the totalitarianism question of the 2005 Independent paper. Advice and comments would be much appreciated.

    Shortlisted for Young Writers Showcase

I understand that, but EE2 is a bit different in that there's no exam as such testing specific skills - it's always an original work. So surely those figures indicate something a little more than that? Unless, of course, the markers get harsher every year. And fleep, are you sure you're...

    Shortlisted for Young Writers Showcase

Actually, you're absolutely right. I just checked SAM: In 2001, 45.85% of all EE2 students got a band E4. In 2002, this was 34.23%. In 2003, this was 24.83%. So there you go. It went from a course where half the candidature got a top band, to one where only a quarter do so - in just...

    Is it really too late?

No way in hell is it too late. In fact, consider Year 11 a bit of a joke compared to Year 12. Nothing, with the exception of maths, really requires the prelim knowledge. In fact, looking back I think I should've started studying the Year 12 syllabus in Year 11. On starting the new term, I...

How much study should i have done?

My friend who goes to SBHS told me that the headmaster interviewed each boy individually and told them to do AT LEAST 10 hours a day... Then again, the majority of them do science subjects and high levels of maths.

How much study should i have done?

Depends what subjects you're doing. For scientific subjects like Maths, Physics and Chemistry, my friend tells me he just does past paper on top of past paper, so it's easy for him to reach 8 hours a day by doing, say, two 4 unit papers and a Chem paper. On the other hand, if you're doing...

World War I source effectiveness response

Thanks for your comments guys. Yeah, I wrote that in about 20-25 minutes. The verbosity is just my style, the product of two years of humanities subjects :p. The Indochina question (or one of them, anyway - can't find the whole paper), was this: Explain why South Vietnam was unable to...

    Shortlisted for Young Writers Showcase

The standards get progressively better with time though, as people have more material, experienced teachers and study aids at their disposal, so 2006 will probably kick our arse.

    2005 Germany Hsc

Militarism has been done I believe...even if it was in 2001 they wouldn't repeat it. Totalitarianism...perhaps.

CSSA Trial Paper 2.... No one passed?

Post up an essay. Let us be the judge :p.

How we feel about the HSC

Of course I sleep. My study is kinda sporadic...I'll do about 40 minutes, waste time for an hour, and might come back to do another 50. That cycle goes on for most of the day. Reason I don't eat is 'cause I'm just not hungry for some reason. But I feel adequately prepared, so it's probably...

How we feel about the HSC

I can't eat and have lost 5kg. I think that sums it up decently.

World War I source effectiveness response

If someone wouldn't mind, a critique on this source effectiveness response would be much appreciated. It was from the 2005 Independent Trial (I did the CSSA), and I've typed out the sources for your convenience. Reason I didn't put this in the WWI forum is because this place is dead enough as it...

    Cheating

Forget that; the really disturbing cheats are the ones who pay people to create "their" major work. 261 students did this in 2004. That figure is staggering considering EE2 has a candidature of about 2200, fluctuating slightly each year. That's about 11% of 2004's candidature. Honestly, I...
