    Case Studies

here's the better end of my stuff: http://sldsrgry.eb55-au.com click around a bit, theres a directory with a few art notes in it i reccomend the modernism timeline and case study, the first bit has an alright (i think) summary of some modernist art movements

    Case Studies

i did a few... ermm, postmodernism (can't remember the specifics), the female form in art, new british art, and then some more... if i find them, do you want me to upload them?

    independent trial results

last year's hsc (i.e. the one i did) was pretty weird. the question style was a bit of a departure from previous papers (trials, the 2001 hsc, etc)... i'm not sure if they're going to stay like that, or if it was a one-off out of leftfield. apparently alot of art teachers complained about that one.

    WHEN DOES ARTxPRESS GET ANNOUNCED?

you probably didn't see it it was in the newcastle regional art gallery, the catalogue photo only had a few bits in it... i might've supposed to have gone on the regional tour, but i'm not sure. anyway i'm glad it didnt, otherwise the foamcore that some of the stuff was printed on would have...

    Architecture

yeah, that question on the bloody phillipe starck orange juicer from last year's exam... i never did architecture in year 12 either. or design, really. mostly fine art, and out of that, mostly modernism/postmodernism, which suited me fine :D

    WHEN DOES ARTxPRESS GET ANNOUNCED?

*gets out filing box* the letter that says i got shortlisted is dated november 4. my letter of acceptance is dated december 6. they're last years dates, they'll probably change though (by perhaps a week max, or maybe two, i reckon), so don't go circling them in your diary or anything.

    Major work

it's a movement in the arts (philosophy and writing, mainly.) i ripped this off an existentialist website, and it seems to be pretty fitting. ------------------------------------------------------ Existentialism attempts to describe our desire to make rational decisions despite existing...

    Uni Wars

does it matter if you don't walk out the other end with a bit of paper with your name on it? there is such a thing as learning for the sake of learning, you know.

    WHEN DOES ARTxPRESS GET ANNOUNCED?

i'm not sre on the exact dates, i'll see if i can find out when my stuff got shortlisted/accepted (for last year's expo) tomorrow. (i.e. today, but after i get some sleep :D)... from memory though, there's a few weeks wait between shortlisting and selection, at least...

    Uni Wars

i don't think so. something about the maximum time you can spend studying an undergraduate degree (paying HECS) before they start making you pay full fees upfront, which from what i can gather is 5 years. b. design (visual communication) / b. arts (international studies) is six years, which tips...

Would anyone tell me about Chinese medicine?

i personally don't know anything about the course, but i found a bit of info on the uts website: http://datasearch.uts.edu.au/courses/allcourses/detail.lasso?recordID=42594 last year's uai was 90.60. you need to have studied any 2 units of english, and any 2 units of science. perhaps...

    artworks marked

hmmm. i never got my external artwork mark, they just mix it up with your exam mark and give it to you later on as a mark out of 100 (ie. like evey other subject). i had a vague idea, since my stuff got into artexpress, but no-one i knew (from last year) got told their mark out of fifty. but...

    Uni Wars

education reforms... booo! get out there and protest! rah rah rah. seriously, if those things get implemented, i'll have to pay full fees for my last year at uni (design/international studies is a 6 year degree), and that's assuming i don't fail anything... if i do, then it's full fees...
