AUSTRALIA VS SRI LANKA [the final chapter]

lololol too optimistic really Sri Lanka needed early wickets, never happened, once Gilly got 149 they had the World Cup, no team chasing has been successful in getting like 250 plus. And their 'secret weapon' Malinga went for boundaries.

    benefits of doing ext.history?????

but like the cliche "to finish first, first you must finish". similar here if you gonna scale high, you gotta be high enough to scale. can't be last and expect ext history to benefit you in any way. I found that it helps me in the "analysis of sources" bits in Modern History exams. But it's...

What makes you want to learn French?

i might sound politically incorrect, or at worst racist. but from my schools senior language courses, those who take Japanese continuers or beginners, there is a lot more people of Asian origin who take up that language, and those who take French, German (and Spanish in another school) are of...

    The F1 Thread

re: The Official F1 Thread I like Lewis so no. and besides the makes F1 so good is that the background noise is the main attraction. Imagine Richie Benaud commentating F1.. we'd just hear V8s roaring and maybe the occasional "Jenson you are too slow we need quick laps from you"

The Australians Against Further Immigration Party

we all know how a failure multiculturalism has been. with the forces of anglo-australia holding still, and this insitence on a cultural puzzle that is to fit together, something's got to give. to be pragmatic the best situation would be assisted assimilation. but to assimilate, we need...

    Are History projects marked internally?

unfortunately so. this may require you to suit your project to the fancy of the marker. our teacher rarely gives out 30/30 for the essay, so 27/30 would be lucky for me.

    Weimar Republic

Hmm... what about US long term loans, or the Dawes Plan. That's linked to Stressemann, but separate enough that you can spend a page on it, or at least one long paragraph. -designated a plan for reparations -allowed German economy to be boosted by US money -economic stability gave also...

national anthem - how many verses?

first one. and that was once this term. and techincally i'm not a citizen of australia, only a resident of it. i have no knowledge of the second stanza. to digress, the Australian national anthem is quite short compared to say... Italy's or the US's.

Are french tutors essential for the HSC?

for french a study group would be amazing.
  16. E

    French Continuers half yearly!!

hmm.. half yearly for French. lately we seem to be doing the same texts, same questions to write about, same voices and situations, same questions to talk about in speaking tests. repetition should do you well. that's the biggest hurdle in learning french in oz. you can't go in the shops and...

    The F1 Thread

re: The Official F1 Thread I chose ignore Ralf's comments. A load of hot air. He has spent about 10 seasons in F1 and a good amount of time in top teams, and he has only provided mid-season sparks his brother and Alonso make every race. Anyway back to the Grand Prix. Kimi has always been...

We're expected to hand it in first week term 2. so I've finished my draft of the whole thing, synopsis essay and bibliography, source analysis etc. draft should be as soon as possible, you can do a million version of the draft, i.e. a draft of a draft, draft version 1.5 or whatever.

Help on Major Work - Napoleon/Waterloo

The whole invasion of 1812 is too big. Perhaps you can discuss whether it was an inevitable failure or not? or whether it brought about napoleon's downfall or was it other factors e.g. Wellesley and the Peninsular campaign... Leipzig.. etc. But come to think about it those suggestions remain vast.

Why do you study a foreign language?

    1. Why do you study a foreign langauge? What motivated you to do it? It was mandatory back in Belgium where I lived. Twas an international school, mandatory nevertheless. Today I study it because my French teacher back in 8th grade told me to "toujours parler francais" or something near...
