    whats law like?

Pigs: The hours depend on your other degree as well. Science/law friends have 24+ hrs, arts/law friends have about 14 and i have 17-18 and I do comm/law. Less work than hsc, but i'm finding it "harder" because i was used to being spoonfed, and well some of the maths stuff is pretty hard to...

    whats law like?

Hey, for some of us, the grammar boys is what makes it fun! :p ;) :D Nah its really interesting - which is why i wanted to do law, so currently very pleased with the decision. :D

    whats law like?

I've only done 1 semester. It was legal institutions so it was more like a social studies lets-discuss-everything kind of class which was lots of fun :D The assessments were rather shocking though imho. Other than that i loved it :D Torts this semester will be a bit more of a test of how "fun"...

Combined Law: USYD or UNSW - which is better?

*sigh* its an indictment on unsw teaching of law (and even english, philosophy and history) that you're seeing things in such a "black or white" manner... It sounds like your uni is the ministry of magic - denying the truth of the goodness and honesty of Dumbledore, the order of...

Combined Law: USYD or UNSW - which is better?

Hmmm i can see my anonymity is being steadily eroded

Combined Law: USYD or UNSW - which is better?

Asq, you are clearly demonstrating you haven't read Harry potter! Hogwarts AKA Usyd is the *good* place. The only safe place to be trusted  You're the one doing dark arts/law! :p Thanks for the invite anyway, I'm happy where I am though :D Minai, I did all the research etc...

Combined Law: USYD or UNSW - which is better?

hehe, u forgot the added bonus of having UNSW first before USYD alphabetically (becoz uh, thats the only place they're first ;) )

    Mediceine, How to get in?

hehehe thanx for the consolation :) As "protector" of the usyd forums i need to maintain some modicum of integrity and not appear *too* ditzy ;) :p :)

    Mediceine, How to get in?

oh ok....sorry :) hehe, i evidently wasnt medically inclined :p

    Mediceine, How to get in?

uh medicine can only be applied for as post-grad (i.e after you have done another degree) at usyd. For undergrad med look at unsw, or even wollongong i think. Oh and melbourne :)

    uai increment numbers

hehe 42 got 99.95 :p The UAI is a percentile, so i guess that the amount on each rank depends on the size of the cohort (those sitting hsc and those who left in yr 10/did not finish). My interpretation is that 100 would mean you're the best, i.e top 0.025% of 80000 = 20 (close enough to...

wat can i do at uni?

Got the UAC guide during trials last year, so by the end of this month/early august you should have them. A library should have last year's copy if you just want a general indication... :)
  14. timmii

    Fire in the library

If I knew more, i wouldnt have posted *sigh*.... Hopefully someone else will know though...*hint at someone else**** ;) :p :D

    National Income

I've seen that before, but I saw it with M included in there as well? I.e we want to know how much consumption is directed towards domestic goods...? I saw it when we were doing multipliers, which I *blush* can't remember either... k = 1/(1-ct + m) ? *sigh* in one ear out the other...
  19. timmii

    National Income

Y = C+I+G+(X-M) means income (GDP) equals consumption, investment, government expenditure and net exports. You will usually be given figures or at least equations to work this out if necessary. Usually you will just use the equation to predict how a change in economic conditions will...

    Economics (Social Science)

Hehe, well at the moment there's you and annabananna - in my "year" most of the website went to unsw anyway, so i wouldnt be too fussed about prospective competition emanating from this thread :D
