    Open Day

Not in charge...just there to help. Besides hopefully I'll have retained some of the knowledge I obtained from the copious amounts of research i did on unsw/usyd law schools last year :D and oh yeah...of course i'm also "really good"

    Sholarships available???

Yep, Usyd has heaps and heaps of scholarships (I think there were over 150 for first years). Check out http://www.usyd.edu.au/fstudent/undergrad/study/shm/scholarships.shtml They give general ones for all courses and then there would be ones specifically for med sci etc...Check out the...

    Law Information Night

Interesting... On that note i got msg'd by one of my best friends this morning, she very cryptically intimated that something happened at manning last night. Despite asking a few ppl (tho admittedly, no1 from college was seen today, and they're the ones most likely to know...) no1 knew...

    Law Information Night

Sydney uni used to have it as compulsory to do a double major until last year, now its just done as general practice. Unsw doesn't allow it yet (one of the reasons i didnt go - but they do have foundation day...so i dunno, close call ;) :p )

    law casenotes

    What's a casenote? (i.e no...) Sorry... :)
  11. timmii

    law casenotes

Yeah we do :) The senior lecturer for Torts is Ross Anderson, and my "substitute tutor" is Barbara Macdonald. Its so funny having her refer to the book and knowing she wrote it...no wonder the names of the cases roll off her tongue. *argh* hard to keep up  Hehe i actually quite...

    course results

Hehe no its ok - i think they were moved up for some so i'm not complaining :) Just curious because well, silly me interpreted "examination results" to mean examination results  Thanks for clearing it all up for me! :)

    Course Marks

    Thanx for the explanations :)
  14. timmii

    course results

Thanx :) They must be scaled right? Because i dont think its possible for my marks to be course marks, judging from some of my assessment marks. Oh well, doesn't really matter i suppose :)
  15. timmii

    course results

i thought they were just the exam marks? do we not then find out our exam marks?
  16. timmii

    Course Marks

I'm sure this has probably been said before...but how? I mean, whats the difference between GPA and WAM? Are they done using exam or course marks, because our lovely old fashioned *grrr* uni has yet to release overall marks (i don't think...)? :)
  17. timmii

    Course Marks

hehe, i know more non-law ppl who go to unsw drinks, than law ppl :p
  18. timmii

    course results

Anyone know if/when we get these, or how we find them out? i.e overall marks not just exam marks ??? :)
  19. timmii

    Course Marks

Well done Minai, great marks! :D This forum is going to be saturated with comm/law-ers soon! Bit of a shame considering the degree is meant to denote a complete erosion of any personality :p What's required to transfer to law? What would be needed to transfer from fee-paying to hecs?

    'the impacts of globalisation'

Another approach that may be easier to organise in essay form would be if you went through the 5 aspects of globalisation and related it to govt policies. Trade: reduced tariffs, diversifying (e.g advertising for tourism, overseas students etc) participating in free trade deals with...
