It is probably difficult for a first semester job at these places. However, many after Semester 1 got credit averages and just sent emails and resumes to the HR departments of the big accounting/auditing firms asking for employment or unpaid training...

A word of advice is that you shouldnt be discouraged if you dont receive an offer.
I personally didnt apply because Accounting isnt my thing but friends of mine did and didnt receive a place.

I officially enrolled in Business/Law at UTS today.
Pretty hard to make a timetable when all the other kids have taken the good classes.
Hoping a few people decide to change classes tomorrow after results and then I can get some...
An arsehole is an arsehole irrespective of the degree that they are doing.
I have no real problem with law students generally. Obviously some are going to be arseholes but thats a minority.

Rather than buying people's notes, I would recommend purchasing Essential Contracts and Essential Torts.
They are two study guides whic practically summarise the courses. They are about $40 each and I buy them in addition to the set texts as they clarify things a lot easier than...

4 more semesters for me!
Transferred back to UTS last week.
I cant wait to come back (actually I can but you know what I mean)
No downsides in my opinion to a double degree.
Some people say its a year wasted (5 years instead of 4 years) but I like the comfort in being able to combine my legal interests with business interests and having the ability to choose different career paths.
I do Business (HRM) with my Law...
(1) You can do PLT in the final semester instead of 24cp of electives. Upon completion, you are able to apply for admission as a solicitor. PLT is the equivalent to Colloge of Law or the Diploma of Legal Practice. You get a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice conferred upon completion

Doesnt mean that at all.
You can still fail. It is just that some convenors reckon if you are close enough, you deserve the chance to re-do the exam to get a pass grade instead.
Usually within the CP range.
I fortunately get an exemption from Perspectives on Law.
Its 5 hours a week.
I was told the new course is a lot more streamlined than when it was worth 10cp.
