Bible verses often ignored by Christians

In the early days, there was a sect of Christianity that sinned all the time, 'so that God's grace will increase'. I agree with you that it's a stupid idea, to think that you can sin all the time and apologise and you're fine again. I'm pretty sure that Paul said something about this hedonist...

Promise of a new life ends in tragedy

How about to make something good come out of the death of this boy. I think that we can all agree that there is something rotten in the immigration system. As you said, recognising it is important.

Bible verses often ignored by Christians

I've read the verse that people use to make others apply OT law (google says it's 2 Timothy 3:16-17, NIV: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.") as...

Promise of a new life ends in tragedy

http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/promise-of-a-new-life-ends-in-tragedy/2005/12/28/1135732645562.html This is so sad... A family comes to Australia from Africa as refugees. Their youngest son suffers from sickle-cell anaemia and dies shortly after his family move into their new house...

    Australia's sexiest politicians

Yanno, it's funny that you should say that, but she has got in a list of the world's 100 sexiest women... I remember reading it a few years back. Here's a recent photo of Hanson: http://www.theage.com.au/ffximage/2004/10/13/pauline_hanson,0.jpg - sorry that it's not the mugshot that the...

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe

whoops, I meant to put 'during the battle scene'. During the battle scene, she was riding in a polar-bear-drawn roman-styled chariot. :) I liked how she was wearing Aslan's hair as a trophy - it just made it all the better when he came back.

So, really, it's up to the individual's choice again? Whether they feel that they can or not.

Bible verses often ignored by Christians

If all things are clean, does that mean that a person with a potentially fatal allergy to peanuts (as in if they have any contact with peanuts, they will die) should eat peanuts, because God said they were clean, and they were afraid that to do otherwise would bring 'consequences'? I don't...

Bible verses often ignored by Christians

I just think that it's kinda sucky that whilst parts of the bible seem to advocate vegetarianism (thou shalt not kill being taken a bit more flexibly, for example), some are like "vegetarianism=unChristian". :P

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe

I thought I saw a reference to 'bullet time' in the battle... And the White Witch was riding a roman-styled silver chariot that was pulled by polar bears - they cut out the scene when she had to leave the sleigh behind.

It's the first one of the series that he wrote, although not the first in the internal chronological order of the series. It was probably 'near enough'.

    Christmas

If these people are identifying themselves as Christians, and 'wishing to talk about "the reason for the season"' in a way that is frantic and rude, I guess that I come away with a "Christians (esp. during Christmas and Easter) = frantic and rude" idea in my head. So often, meaning can be...

    Homosexuality in Australia

I think that most would agree, if you're gay/bi/lesbian/trans and you're working with kids, the kids don't need to know. It wouldn't really come up, anyway. More omission than hiding is in the spirit, I think. Although the "gay=pedo" stereotype would have more serious implications if a gay...

Will women not go for you because your bisexual?

I've heard female sexuality as being described as 'more fluid'. Bisexuals tend to get ignored in studies because when they're with one person, they blend in with the homosexuals or the heterosexuals.
