the myth to internal transfer at UMAC

nono, they do. I've filled them out. Just go look at the online application forms for like UBS, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs..just to name a few. All ask about how many D's..etc you got. Then in the interview they ask to look at your transcript. ;)

the myth to internal transfer at UMAC

Yeh, but top companies do ask you how many D's and HD's you got on their applications, and i believe thats how they eleminate people for interviewing.

the myth to internal transfer at UMAC

MQ i think is kind of slack in not recognising people who achieve HD's. We put so much hard work into acheiving a HD but it still worth only a GPA of 4, same as a D. SO it is to no benefit when transferring internally. But it does look better for job applications when they ask you how many HD's...

    Scaling marks at university

Not true. you will still be ranked by the SNG's defined by a HD. That is, you will be ranked from a SNG of 85 onwards. Hence you will still be ranked. In reality this will never happen, as stated by flyin'

    Scaling marks at university

"Different criteria are set for different subjects and these have to be taken into consideration for the distribution of SNG's." Its the percentile based on your mark. However different departments allocate grades differently, refer to above quote. That is, you recieve a certain raw mark...

Your lecturer should confirm this on WebCT if that subject is on WebCT. Otherwise, you'll have to goto the student centre to find out.

    Scaling marks at university

Basically at uni, your SNG is very unpredictable if your are getting very average marks for your assesments. What i mean by average is something like 15/20, or somewhere along those lines, because you wouldnt know where other students are. However, for some subjects, the lecturer do give you the...

    Scaling marks at university

There are certain cut-offs for the raw marks for different grades. For example (this is made up), A raw mark of 77 or greater would allow a HD grade. Therefore, every student who got above 77 as the raw mark would get a HD grade, then the SNG they would get would be allocated by ranking all...
