as of 2008 usyd upgraded the flexible entry scheme to allow a certain number of people to get in below the cutoff if they did well in relevant hsc subjects. but it only applies to certain degrees, not to the highly competitive ones like commerce...

i stand corrected. but nonetheless i'm reasonably sure that there's an academic board policy mandating scaling at some level. not that i can be bothered looking it up.

they give you plenty of warning about everything they want you to do, yes. they don't specifically tell you to change lanes, but if you have to change lanes to turn right or something then they'll tell you where to turn quite a bit beforehand.

doubt it. i reckon 10th-12th at this stage although they have the capacity to improve a bit. theyre struggling this year with the loss of a number of key players but theyre not at the level of epic shitness that would have them right down at the bottom of the ladder.

hey waf/anyone else who's involved in campaigning, roughly how much do the candidates spend on their campaigns? (and where does all the money come from?)
bec, doug, bateman, alex, courtney. of course the usual chain of withdrawals, disqualifications and whatever meant that there were only six candidates for five positions, so the whole thing was just an obscene waste of money and paper, as normal.
