If you are going to use SAM before your actual HSC marks come out, it should only be for the purpose of determining what aligned HSC marks you will need to attain a particular UAI. Inputting your trial marks, as Ragerunner has said plenty of times, will give you an inaccurate answer.

If you input the right kind of marks (eg. aligned HSC marks rather than trial or half-yearly marks) then it's extremely unlikely that SAM would be that inaccurate.

Past papers are overrated, I think. Sure they're helpful but I'd only do them if I had time, which, at the moment, you don't. Anyways there's not much point doing past papers if you're only going to practise answering questions with incomplete/scattered knowledge, is there :P

Drama doesn't actually get scaled down; it sits around the 0 mark which means it doesn't get adjusted very much at all. Anyway, if you do well in a subject the scaling isn't going to affect you a lot.

None of what the person above me said matters at all if you come first in your class. If you come first then your internal mark = your external mark. It doesn't matter if there's two people or a hundred people in your class. Just beat that other person and concentrate on killing the external...
