How about a vocal ensemble? It doesn't have to fit into a genre, and there are plenty of good examples to fit anything. You said you are from a classical background: stick with what you know, and use vocals to help.

I have done musicianship grades 1 and 2, and I am doing Music 1 for my HSC... It has helped, but it isn't necessary to have studied any musicianship grades.

Note to self: Park in teachers carpark this week. Last year all the cars in the student area of the carpark got egged, but none in the teachers area did...So if you get to school early and park in a teacher's spot, then you won't have rotten egg gas in the air-con system of your car!

Well I have gotten back everything except Music 1 and an actual mark for PDHPE, and so far the only thing I have passed is General Maths (64% = 6/23) St Eng ~ 47% (I came top for the pre-lim year, but now that we have a different teacher who doesn't like me...) PDHPE fail. My teacher won't...
