i'm asian.. my parents are nothing like that.. they don't pressure me or anything. like they don't tell me i have to get over 90 or whatever.. they just tell me to give it my best. guess my parents are kinda lenient compared to the stereotype of asian parents

We send our marks back to them in the form of a survey.. we have High Tea @ School next Feb.. no doubt ppl will be like - i got 99, how did you go?? not looking forward to that part!!! :( we'll see how things go on Fri.. goodluck everyone!! :)

all of the hype about selective schools is unjustified. they don't have great facilities or as you've said great choice in terms of subs and extra curricular. i wouldn't go to one either.

i'm not sure how biz stud scales. i know there are ppl who get 50s in their course mark for biz stud and then end up getting scaled up to the 70s in the end. the bos should've kept 3u biz stud for the ppl who wanted to make a genuine effort.

yes it's possible to get over 90 when doing standard. there was a girl last yr who got 96 and she got in the 70s (mid 70s if i remem correctly). she didn't do physics, chemistry or 4u maths. in fact, she did subs like pdhpe, general maths and senior science. I know of one girl in the top 10%...

guess u didn't do any computing subs.. he's a computing teacher we managed to get rid of (after many complaints) :)
