A lot of first semester is related to biology. And like, biology introduces basic anatomy in high school, which is obviously slightly relevant to med school.

Afaik you won't be able t have your tafe results counted for mid-year entry so you will have to wait until the next year, hence the 80 CP instead of 40.

I wouldn't recommend doing Biology over Chemistry. I just recommend doing them both if you can. Subjects I would recommend: English (Advanced) or higher Maths Extension 1 Chemistry Biology That leaves you with like 4 or 5 more units. So you can do: Economics Physics SoR1 and have 14 units...

Keep MX1, it will increase your proficiency in Mathematics and it's good to have a back-up in case you have a bad day in one of your other subjects, and MX1 is a good back-up considering it scales so well. Most people that drop subjects for "extra time" usually realise they waste all of this...

I can't talk much about the interviews, but basically, doing your normal ~thing~ should be fine.

If you're good at science I would recommend it. It's very helpful. I had a big tail at my school too, like 6 people failed every exam. But as long as you do well (1st or 2nd) you'll do well. Trust me, Biology is a lot more applicable than Chemistry, from what I've noticed.

As long as you have some sort of ability you can improve. I know people who went from like 40th percentile to 90th+ in a year or two.
