    Traveling to uni time consuming??

I live about 1.5 hours away from my uni and take the train. I hate it, but it's doable. It'd be hellish if I was doing a science degree with 8am lectures, though.

    wrong preference

He should accept his current offer and change prefs for the late round. He can withdraw from an offer he's already accepted, he'd just have to notify UWS about it.

    Official Summer Siesta 2007/8 Thread

Where's the HR Carne lecture theatre? I'm looking at lecture locations for various subjects and I've never heard of that one. (also, looks like I might be in Quad Latin 1 this year :()

Where dyou get the DFEE application form from?

The form should be part of the pack you fill out on enrolment day. If you want to claim FEE-HELP, make sure you bring along your tax file number.

hai guyz do u think we should tattoo DFEE on fee payin students foreheads?

It's been Labor policy for years. They put out a press release a couple of months ago saying that they planned to phase DFEE out starting with 2009 admissions.

hai guyz do u think we should tattoo DFEE on fee payin students foreheads?

This is the last year that DFEE enrolments will be allowed, most likely, so don't worry about it too much, guys.

    Problems accepting a usyd offer..

Last year clicking 'Accept' on the UAC offers page took you through to a preliminary online enrolment thing where you set up your internet account. They may have cancelled that, although I have no clue why they would.

    2008 Transfers!! =]

Meh, my UAI was never going to be high enough to transfer unless I got a GPA of 6.5ish. And anyway, doing the full BA means I can do my double major, so I'm not fussed.

UTS has TWO courses with a 99.9 cut-off this year :x

They can and do. Unless they're letting in a ridiculously small number of people (since only about 60 people in the state get a UAI of 99.90+, and I can't imagine that a big portion of them are applying for visual design courses), they're letting people in underneath the cutoff. EAS/transfers...

Why does that matter? I can't remember the application. I didn't receive an offer, so no surprises. Grad law here I come!

Re: Post Your 2008 University Offers Here! (UAC, VTAC, etc) (No Spam) Wow, UAC is laggier than last year. BoS is running better than last year, though.

Is it possible to change your uni timetable?

Individual units of study would normally have one set of lectures which can't be changed, or possibly two or three sets to choose from in more popular units, as well as multiple tutorials at various times, which you can choose from. If, say, a history subject you're doing only offers tutes on...

Is it possible to change your uni timetable?

You can customise your timetable, yes (although at some unis the process is a bit difficult). Whether you can fit everything into two days depends on how many class hours you have in total (which varies from degree to degree) and on the individual subjects you do and how they are timetabled.

How do I check my offers?

I remember they came out 1 or 2 hours early last year.

lolin so hard at that kid who had that insane party

So the neighbours should sue him in a civil court. You can't actually charge him with damaging property unless he actually personally damaged the property. (AFAIK) The fact that they're charging him with child porn - almost certainly drunken nude photo-taking with a couple of 15-year-old mates...

Re: Post Your 2008 University/UAC Offer Here! (No Spam) Flip-flopper! (http://community.boredofstudies.org/3092377/post-663.html) I've applied to transfer to Usyd Arts/Law, but my chances of getting an offer are miniscule unless the NRSL cut-off collapses. Meh.

    Graduate Law?

Not too hard. High credit to distinction is about 70-80, which is reasonably easily achievable in arts if you can write a decent essay and don't slack off too much.
