Student unions 'on brink of extinction'

I theoretically agree that student unions offer valuable services, but I wish student politicians would be more responsible with their positions and not use them as a platform to promote their own non-student-related views. (There's no possible way you can justify the SRC advocating withdrawal...

    UnderGrad Courses For dentistry!

You don't need to ask this question in three separate threads and then open your own thread for it. I don't believe there are specific degrees that give you a selection advantage when applying for grad dentistry, but as you'll have to sit GAMSAT you might want to do one that will give you the...

    General Question: Commonwealth supported places....

NZ citizens can get CSP as well, but they have to pay upfront.

    languages

Ditto at Usyd. A BA consisting entirely of languages sounds hellish, but it's allowed.

    exclusive universities

No. There are no 'elitist universities'. I have no idea why you seem to believe that Usyd people are snobby or elitist, or that the university as a whole is exclusive. It's completely untrue.

    Transfer Q's

I assume that non-school leavers can receive offers in the late round like everyone else. Don't quote me on that, though.

    Official Summer Siesta 2007/8 Thread

Specifics would be great. I'm trying to convince myself to switch to something else, but I've been hesitating because IRA sounds at least vaguely career-oriented, unlike the other govt units. So trash it as much as you want and exorcise the idea from my mind.

    Official Summer Siesta 2007/8 Thread

Christ, they've changed the timetable again and now I have clashes and all kinds of crap. I hate the timetable unit. Did anyone do international risk analysis last year? How was it?

    Official Summer Siesta 2007/8 Thread

Yeah, Usyd summer school is DFEE only. (You can still get FEE-HELP, though.) Peepz who aren't checking their uni email: if you want your 2008 student card to have a concession stamp, you need to apply via MyUni by the 15th.

    Official Summer Siesta 2007/8 Thread

I have ~100000 books from Christmas that I need to read before semester starts, at which point I'll start drowning in papal decretals from the middle ages. I need to start looking at rental properties and stuff at some point as well, hopefully I can avoid the train this year. Not that I have...

So.. how do you accept offers?

As soon as you get the offer you click 'accept' on the UAC site. This sends you through to the uni's enrolment site, where you do some or all of your enrolment. Don't know how other unis do it, but at Usyd you get your UniKey and email address online immediately after accepting the offer, then...

    Arts and science

Yeah, you can't do the directly career-oriented ones (accounting, finance, marketing) and the humanities (government and international relations, political economy) have changed faculty, so now the only ones you can do are economics, econometrics, commercial law and business information systems...

    B.Soc.Sci Double Major - Help!

Check the degree resolutions in the handbook. I'm pretty sure it says there somewhere that a UOS can only be counted towards one major.
