Did you read this post. If the two groups are in fact the same group, then B fits the given statements, but you cannot conclude B from the given statements. I also said A fits the given statements as well. Your example of two different groups also fits your statements, but you cannot...

Please point out which part is circular reasoning.

The reasoning is to show that B is consistent with the given statements, and so is A in my opinion. C and D are not.

I reckon 'From the above, we can conclude that:' should read 'Which one/more of the following fits the above:' A is also correct.

If B (All boys are girls) is correct, then all girls are boys because of the symmetry of the given statements. Then there is only one sex in the universal set of sexually active and homosexual. So B is correct. C is not correct because the word 'All' sexually active is missing.

Hi Nelson, you misread 1/(x-1) for 1/(1-x)

For y=x+1+[1/(1-x)], as x --> 1-, 1/(1-x) --> + inf, .: y --> + inf; as x --> 1+, 1/(1-x) --> - inf, .: y --> - inf. Don't see your problem!

Also consider the gradient at x=0, no longer a turning point.

For the second one, look at the graph of cos-1, you'll see the definite integral = pi/2 (3/4 + 3/4) = 3pi/4
