Bugger, so close as well. I reckon hopes went maybe 1 over too late, but still an amazing effort considering the circumstances. As i said before though, that indian team will be pretty hard to beat in a few years time.

I just use a vacuum cleaner with a narrow nozzle. All that air passing over the plastic builds up static, but nothing to be worried about really. Hairdryer on cool is fine imo.

Yeah well played tendulkar and india. A few touches of brilliance from the little master. Should make this series interesting (then again, it could turn out like last year, where Australia owned the preliminaries and then lost all touch in the finals) Australia really needs that middle order to...

disappointing, but full credit to Lee and Bracken...they really fought hard at the end. middle order has always been a bit shaky this summer, hope it doesn't go the same way as last year.

Usyd soft eng used to have it too (you did embedded stuff until 3rd year)...but now with the new syllabus in 2008 it looks way more like an IT/comp sci degree (lots of higher level stuff, IT management, that sort of stuff).

Most courses at uni (if you are actually interested in/motivated to study the course) are designed to be easy to pass but hard to excel in (i.e. distinctions and higher). I'd say uni is more time consuming for me, but in retrospect i did shit all in high school until just after the trials.

Designing a new architecture? Sounds interesting, and very impressive (this is seriously 3rd year computer/electrical engineering and possibly even into post-grad kinda levels) What kind of style are you going for? More towards the RISC or CISC end (although they've kinda lost meaning...

INFO1903 would be the one to skip if you've done any sort of programming/web design before. I was going to do the advanced stream but they didn't offer it in second semester last year, so i did INFO1003 instead. Piss easy, seriously. I had a clash with that subject too so i ended up missing all...
