Either a print off of an email of the discussion or get the convenor (Diane) to sign some sort of declaration or something like that :) Usually the unit convenors are going to be from the same school/department, so you're going to have to get approval from someone who teaches in the music...

Re: 2009 Macquarie Uni Offers You will need to tell the person signing off on it of your previous experience, usually an email/confirmation from the unit convenors should be enough if they ask you why you are doing those units.

Yes that's experience :) I'd talk to Diane Hughes (diane.hughes@humn.mq.edu.au) and tell her of your previous experience in performance, and take this unit (and move MKTG to second sem and maybe take on MUS206 as well).

What're you looking to do in music? Production? Vocals? Guitar? If you've got prior experience in the field, you may be able to get permission to do the practical subjects :)

They're there as a guide as to the different ways to approach the topics at hand. If you plaigarise you do so at your own risk. The ability to source and reference is a skill, not a given. The difference is in the application, you may have the source but the way in which you use that...

What subject area are you interested in? Also whats so disparaging about an arts degree with a major in education? And why would you want to become a teacher if you have issues with it?
