Don't worry you, you'll get in. (Completely off topic, don't forget to go back to school in March to get your EE2 journal.)

Hsc 2007 Results..not Happy?were You Treated Unfair? Read This And Sign My Petition!

Say troll and I'll laugh accordingly. To be honest, getting above 70 in any subject merely requires sleeping through the class, downloading notes of the BOS site and praying you get some questions right. Plus, you could apply for mid wifery at UWS with a 57 UAI. I think cut offs were around...

So 2007 was the smartest, wat does this mean to course cut offs?

Perhaps what everyone should have done from the very beginning then, was work harder and hopefully surpassed the previous years cut offs by quite a large number? Or alternatively, if you didn't get into the course you want, transfer. This year shouldn't be any different than any other year...

    Research..

I hated research. I didn't understand why I needed to look into something when I had the story so clearly mapped out in my head, but for the sake of marks I did it. :) What I did was photocopy, highlight, footnote, comment and analyse anything that directly referred to my concept. I also tried...

    Placement of sentences.

It means what you want it to mean I suppose. Everything after that just depends on whether you can convey your meaning clear enough through the text for others to understand. Does that make any sort of sense? :S I messed around with the format of mine quite a bit but be careful! My teacher...

    Soundwave Festival

I have a spare ticket I think. I'll give it to you for 100$ because I got early bird tickets. :) Drop me a line or PM or whatever! (Also, I want to see Chiodos! Sigh. No worries, still a bunch of other bands to see!)

What do the teachers think of ur year?

I don't think the teachers at my school think my grade is particularly "outstanding". Certainly "intelligent" and "hardworking" but, nothing special. My biology teacher likes to constantly tell my class that "if we tried really really hard, we can get a band 4!". Hopefully my grade should be...

    Physical Journey: Unexpected Detours

I talked about unexpected detours as obstacles/challenges and that, through these detours, the person gains knowledge about the self. I was somewhat tempted to write "knowledge about the self, others and the world around them" which was the wording of a previous question. I didn't write it as I...

Section 1 - comprehnsion- answers- Discuss

You're analysing the text. In order to break it down and discuss the points the text is trying to make, you need techniques which support your arguement/analysis. Seriously though, you should have practiced this section of the paper enough to know you should always have techniques for...

Section 2 - Who used quote as central idea, who just slotted the quote in somewhere?

I used the mosaic option as the catalyst to my "journey". I quoted it at the beginning too. The fragments were in fact shards of glass this guy had smashed in his face as he was drink driving. The story is basically how he fights to wake up from the coma he's in with conversations and scenes of...

    HSC markers

Probably get zero? There's a high chance of you getting caught if you go to the same school as the exams are put into bundles according to school. I seriously don't advise writing the same story.

Wat to do, 3hours before exam?

Before an exam I usually drink V (which has no more effect on me by the way and I'm too scared to drink two because then I'll need to use the bathroom during my exam), sprout random facts about the subject we're going to seat for to my friends and just cram. Seriously, three hours before an exam...

And it's on. Are you ready?

I cut circles in kindy. That was pretty lame. So is HSC. So nothing much has changed! I woke up this morning around 1130. My first thought? "This time tomorrow, I'll be finished Paper1!" Yuckkkk. Everyone should sleep early tonight. Then drink caffeine tomorrow like it's water. (:

And it's on. Are you ready?

Some of you might think I'm slightly mentally unstable, but really I'm excited about the HSC! I'm looking forward to doing Paper 1 on friday. When we finish that paper, we're one exam closer to finishing and surviving the HSC. One exam less to stress over - forever. Plus, I'll get to see my...

    wake up call please.

Don't be ridiculous. If anything, I'll sit those bloody exams just to spite people. Sit them and do moderately well. Come out and rub it into the people who studied a lot, tell them you did nothing and still got into uni. Sure beats repeating yr12, doing the same JOURNEY all over with the same...

To all the people posting threads on cheating...

Regardless of cheating, not many people recieve the UAI mark they deserve. Take people like myself for example, I don't try as hard as I know I should but even with inadequate preparation I am capable of getting a better mark that some others. These "others" consistantly study but in the end...

To be honest, I'm more "Hurry up. I want to get this over and done with." Regardless of how unprepared I am.

    HSC Advice Line

I called yesterday around 530. Got put on hold for a few minutes but seriously, its pretty quick. I asked about English Section1 Paper 1. The male teacher that I got was pretty nice, answered my question directly and gave me a few encouraging words. So kudos to the advice line from me.
