Yeah I worked that out from that book they sent us with our offer, you have to do 18 points worth of arts each session, and each of the arts subjects are worth 6 points....I joined the dots :D Anywayz Im doing Politics, Sociology and History.

Yeah I agree with Arts at UWS, that WOULD have been a shock. Hehe yeah I had a few points up my sleeve for Wollongong, but Im glad it stayed...huge shock though, I was expecting a rise of at least 1.5-2, if not 3!

My friends goes to a public shire school and got 99.35, and there were two other 98's, a 97, and 8 other ppl got 90-95. So like I said in another thread mazz, don't stress bout past results, cos they mean precisely shit. If you are prepared to work hard, you can get whatever you are capable of...

Yes, all 4 units of English can count (otherwise I wouldn't have a HSC!). I got rid of gen maths and was left with 11 units. Also, if you're doing 12 units, with 4 units of English, your 2 extension units can be counted as your 2 english units if they are better than your adv ones. Its ANY two...

Well it was made up! They don't rank all schools cos this causes problems as mentioned before like parents pulling their kids out of certain schools etc. Do you still have a copy of this, Id be really interested to see it.....

Haha one of my friends teaches at Woolo and its no better or worse than any of the other schools around here. And even if your school's highest UAI was 87 (when did u get told this, cos UAIs came out on the last day of school last year....?) that by no means prevents you from a 95 or even...

But surely it doesn't come as a shock to ppl who didn't get in. Either you got a uai that gets you in or doesn't....there isn't THAT much guess work. I mean sure, they're allowed to be disappointed, but its not like Monday would've been a huge shock....

you can get it replaced (my mum who did her HSC in 74 can get hers replaced if she wants) but it will cost you. Don't stress bout it too much, just don't go ripping up official documents in the future....

mazz you go to Cronulla don't you? I doubt that your highest uai was 87. Im sure someone would have gotten higher, they just haven't told many ppl. And also, I can assure you your school didn't come last cos for a start they don't rank all schools, and the same rumour goes through every shire...
