I always have music on while I study..and yes it is a distraction..but often a welcome one! Maybe you should put really crap songs on to listen to and then one good song every half hour or so that u can get a break?

Hehe...an ancient vs modern rivalry? I'm glad that wasn't happening at my school because having done both, I would be in the middle of the crossfire! I personally do prefer ancient but modern is fantastic too. In fact, my ancient history teacher is very boring while my modern (extension too)...

I agree with Year 12. It's English Extension that really scares me...or is that just the teacher we ended up with this year?
