    tutes in week 1

As Asy said, its up to the convenors to put up the courses. My two just came up today, so I'm assuming the others will follow soon :) Its such a pain waiting around for them, though. Edit: Excited about the litigation exam: Its based on the NYC Bar exam! Yippee :D

    400/500 Law Electives

^^ Just make sure you have a copy of both books for the takehome exam. You'll need them to answer most of the multi-choice questions (which are extremely detailed, if Lise has kept David's set, which I'm assuming she has).

    400/500 Law Electives

Yeah, you can't enrol in 115, because you need 32cp of 400/500-level units. Did you do dispute management last year? If not, I'd recommend that one. Its tres bien! Plus, its one lecture, one tute, so it could fit in to your one-day plan. Or, I think 436 is also a lecture/tute format.

    400/500 Law Electives

Not sure what the actual workload is like, but if you did Discrimination you'd be with Roy Baker (who also runs EU). He is a nice person, but sometimes his teaching style is... pretty awful. He goes off on tangents, talks over people, thinks aloud etc. Also, he will expect you to do a lot of...

    6 units

haha oh my goodness I'm crying from laughter! I'm such a fool!! I could use tiredness as an excuse, but I wrote it at 1pm. I'd say I was hungry at the time. I think battered eyelids would be quite tasty, but I'd have BBQ sauce rather than tartar. :D

    Semester 2 2008

I'm doing LAW500 - Litigation, and I'm tossing up between sticking with international Human Rights law, or doing the thesis unit. Decisions, decisions... I'm thinking I should change my signature to "Two subject bandit" like IWR :p

    Graduating?

melsc, I just did that this year. I wrote "NB: I want to only graduate from my BA-Psych; I plan on graduating from my LLB in Nov 2008". They run it through an independent system anyway to see whether you qualify for a degree, so it all works out. The best part about it is that I don't have to...

    Practical Legal Training

I'm a tad slow on this thread, but just so you know, if you do the ADR unit at Mac, you get credit for it towards the PLT, so its one less unit you have to take. Also, if you do legal work during your degree, you can (generally) count those hours towards the 75 days.

    400/500 Law Electives

Hey guys and girls! Do any of you know anyone who has done the advanced legal research unit? I'm seriously considering doing it over int. human rights law, but I'm not sure how much scope you really have. Can you do it on absolutely anything? Or do you need approval? And have you seen who the...

when does uni start up again?

Not just Lynn but Rob, too! Lynn looks like she should be in a CK commercial! She has the whole nonchalant look tossing her hair back. And Rob looks like he's about to be knighted (in that very stunning yellow shirt that we all know and love and have sitting in our wardrobe to paint in)!

    6 units

I'm not sure how you'd go getting approval for 19cp. I just did 16cp, but the law dept barely battered an eyelid; however, you might run into issues because they are units across different departments (or so it seems to me!). It's always worth a shot: the worst they can say is no. I would...

Re: Semester 2 Results Predictions / Final Results Asy, I can't remember my unit codes either! :p I know I have: Advanced Torts - 83.5 (please please please let scaling get me a HD!) Int. Orgs - 78 So we will see how scaling changes that. and I'm hoping for the others: EU Law: high...

    400/500 Law Electives

maka, I haven't attended a lecture since... juris. So no, it doesn't matter whether you iLecture it. Yep, there are lecture notes, but david always put them up late (so in that way its best to ilecture it so you have the notes with you). I'm upset: litigation books are $230 plus course...

    400/500 Law Electives

Good. I quite enjoyed EU. But the teaching style probably wouldn't suit everyone. I found it okay but I know others who completely hated it and felt like they didn't learn anything. Its two seminars a week run by Roy Baker who is lovely (well, I liked him). He's a pom and really knows his stuff...

    400/500 Law Electives

Cameron Stewart... sigh... I'm probably not the most objective person to ask. He is my lecturer crush. He has a fantatic mind, sense of humour, is SUCH a great lecturer, really knows his stuff. He takes equity every year; thats where I first fell in love with his brain ;) Not so much the hair...

    400/500 Law Electives

I'm currently only doing 2 subjects! And I'm extremely excited about that. I'm planning on working full-time too. The good thing about coming back for the 2 units is that it gives you time to work full-time, but you're not technically a graduate for another 6 months, so you can keep shopping...
